VirTra to deliver simulators to the 819th
TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted VirTra Systems Inc. to deliver its realistic firearms simulator technologies with recoil kits for training operations.
U.S. company VirTra was awarded the contract from the Air Force 819th Global Support Squadron. Under the deal, VirTra will deliver five of its 300-degree
4G military skills training simulators.
Officials say the five screen systems, which include the M-4/M-16 weapon tetherless recoil kits among other applications, are designed to support training with realistic scenarios ahead of overseas deployment.
"It is very rewarding when a unit of the United States Air Force selects VirTra Systems' products as their firearm system training simulator of choice," Bob Ferris, VirTra chief executive officer and president, said in a statement.
