So, what did you do for Y2K?
Well, I'm one of those Boy Scout types, so I invested in 8,000 rounds of .223/5.56, 5,000 rd.s each of 7.62x39, 9mm, .45, .308 and 20,000 rounds of mini-mags. I have always kept and rotated food stuffs and have several water sources on my land, so water is no problem. I purchased $5,000 in silver (just under $6/OZ) and an equal amount in gold (around $275/OZ). I'm sure my friends would have had a good laugh, but I kept it to myself, both before and after. Over the years as I have expended ammo I have replaced it, so when the insanity began I sat back and looked at my $90/case .223 and 7.62x39 ammo, now worth (if anyone is foolish enough to pay it) - $1,000/case which equal appox 1100% increase from my purchse price, and yes, every round fires. My gold is now worth $32,000 and my silver is worth $27,000. I had payed such a small amount for the .22 rounds that I honestly don't remember, but do know that they have easily increase in value 10 times. Each of my Bushmsters cost around $600, and my 2 Mac90 were an unheard of $450 each because I waited until the last minute on those. Yep, I was a real chump and got ready for something that never happened, and look where it got me. I was prepared, am prepared and made out like a bandit doing it! ALWAYS BE PREPARED cuz Better Safe than DEAD.
