Subject: Shriike: Belt fed upper for your AR-15/M16.
How is this for an option, a belt-fed Shrike upper that will work with your AR-15 or M16.

All full autos are fun.

If you haven't been to Knob Creek at least once for the machine gun shoot, you're definitely missing out.

This is a full auto M16 with a 7 inch barrel.

It should put you at ease, at least a little bit, to know that no civilians are allowed to have full-auto weapons, short barrel rifles (SBR), short barrel shotguns (SBS), suppressors, or all other weapons (AOW) without first jumping through all kinds of hoops before being approved for ownership directly by the BATFE. Without prior approval, they are not allowed to have anything like that.

I personally have a couple SBRs and two suppressors, but the BATFE knows all about them. If I were to do something "stupid" with my Class 3 weapons and get caught, I'd go away for a LONG time. Just keep in mind the statistics of registered gun owners and concealed carry permit holders - they're the most well-behaved gun owners in the United States. Don't forget about Class 3 weapon owners - they're even more well-behaved than other gun owners (statistically speaking).

BamaShooter, to me it would be easier to carry Beta mags vs the belt fed guns.

Thats my .02

Sure, you might think it'd be easier for you to use beta mags, but that's not the point of having a machine gun like that at all. You'd run out of ammo way too fast, so it would end up being terrible using any kind of a mag

Beta Mag, holds 100 rounds. A box mag can hold 200. I don't see a box mag attached. I would find it rather hard to move around if you're dragging 200 rounds around. I know it would be easier to have a beta mag.
