Subject: Remember #gunvote, Absentee Ballot as Election Day Approaches
NEWTOWN, Conn -(Ammoland.com)- With Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 Election Day quickly approaching, NSSF is stepping up its effort to remind people to become educated about the candidates’ stand on issues critical to our industry. Important election information is presented at NSSF’s voter-education website, www.nssf.org/gunvote. NSSF has sent all-purpose decals of the #gunvote button, reading “#GUNVOTE 2012 DON’T RISK YOUR RIGHTS,” to NSSF retail and range members in 15 key battleground states.

The limited supply of excess stickers quickly disappeared as we fulfilled member requests.

If you are going to be out of town during Election Day, as will likely be the case if you are attending the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers’ Expo & Annual Meeting in Orlando, which runs Nov. 6-9, you’ll want to make sure you have arranged for an absentee ballot.

Sometimes registering for and receiving the ballot takes several days, or even weeks, so check online or contact your local election board now to start the process.

Find absentee voting information, with links to 14 states, here. If you reside in an early voting state, you may be able to vote right now, even if you won’t be away from home.

Why does the NSSF waste time preaching to the choir? Why don't the corporations who's very existence depends on defeating liberal gun grabbers and anti-hunting animal rights activists FIGHT LIKE HELL? They should be happily and lavishly funding political PACS and pro-2nd Amendment lawyers. Instead, the battle is carried mainly by the NRA who never stops soliciting for donations from its already beleaguered members. Ruger, S&W, and many more corporations are enjoying record profits, and it seems they couldn't care less about this election. They may give a pittance of their vast wealth here and there now and then, but whenwas the last time you saw a blizzard of ads that included "funding by the NSSF" or "This message approved by S&W, Ruger, and the American Firearms Industry?
It wouldn't hurt to see a series of ads on TV, radio and in print sponsored by "America's Internet Sporting Retailers." Can you hear me CTD, Natchez, Sportsman Guide, CDNN, etc? And don't bother targeting the shooting and hunting community - you need to target the entire electorate.

The Gun, ammo and hunting Biz can invest SOME of its money now, or, if we lose in November, risk losing with ALL OF IT later.
