Subject: House panel backs contempt for Holder, Issa says floor vote can still be avoided
(www.foxnews.com) A House panel voted Wednesday in favor of holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, a move that inflamed partisan rancor on Capitol Hill and sets up the possibility of legal action against the attorney general himself.  Holder has not yet been formally held in contempt of Congress. The full House would still need to approve the resolution in order for that to happen -- and Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., afterward told Fox News that such a floor vote can still be avoided.

But the 23-17 party-line vote on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee marked a significant turn in lawmakers' 16-month investigation into the botched anti-gunrunning operation Fast and Furious. With the vote, Republicans on the committee signaled they had exhausted all other means to extract sought-after documents from the Justice Department -- though Democrats had insisted there was still an opportunity to sort out the mess without a contempt vote.

"We and the American people need answers sooner, not later," said Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the committee.

Don't let this Rat Bastard run down a hole of executive privilege.Smoke him out, make him reveal just what a criminal him and his bosses really are. They think they can run their little plan so they could scream"We have to stop making it so easy for people to purchase guns! Look at all the murder and crime being faciillitated by easily obtained guns!" When in fact the Administration is guilty of supplying guns used for murders and crimes to use as a means to their end.[Limiting 2 nd amendment].So they are accessories to murder and drug dealing. They should go to jail after they get their day in court. This is the most corrupt administration EVER! This makes Nixon look like a kindergartner klutz! No more games to save this clown and his superiors asses.

The "Rat Bastard" as Kull calls him is pretty much in the clear. Even if the full House votes a contempt citation, it then goes for investigation by the very Justice Dept the Congress found in contempt. Talk about a governmental circle jerk. If  it goes to court, each of the thousands upon thousands of documents claimed to be protected by executive privilege must be adjudicated individually - a process that won't be complete until all involved will be long out of office. Issa and Boehner are wimps - this should have been started over a year ago, when Holder first denied full access to the documents surrounding Fast & Furious. You can also expect the Republicans to to totally blow the PR game - watch Obama come out smelling like a rose. Issa and Boehner, by delaying this until the last possible moment, have clumsily made sure it would not affect the election.
