I think this baton is nice and sturdy. It looks and feels nice to use, but my only reason not to give this product 5 bullets is that closing it after opening is difficult. It would be alot better if it had a safety for closing.

this baton works, i mean its nothing fancy but it works. it slings out good and seems really strong, but like other reviews i would say it will have to be replaced after use. but still a good buy.

Good baton, bad sheath

I bought this baton a few weeks ago and haven't had many complaints. I work overnight outside security and its just the right size for what I need. It makes the clack when it locks in place but not as loud as a standard police baton. Still enough to make a confrontational trespasser think twice. I'm not inclined to use it too much so while it's durable probably after a major altercation it will need to be replaced. But for the price I don't have a problem with that. Only major problem I had was the nylon sheath it comes with. Its very poorly constructed and the velcro loop that keeps the sheath in place easily opens. Plus the sheath tends to lean foward too much. Twice as I bent down to pickup something the baton slid out and fell to the ground. Finally I bought a better sheath and now no problems. The rubber smell that so many reviews on the product have is correct and it does dissapate after a few weeks. But still its a good baton. 16" size does seem too small and I like to keep my baton fairly concealed under my jacket when I'm not working so 21" seems ideal, 26" is defitely too large. It would be 5 bullets but because the sheath should be replaced with a better quality one I only give it 4 bullets. Still good buy, thanks CTD!!

I bought one of these a couple years ago, and chose this length specifically because it fit me, [stretches from my fingertip to about an inch past my elbow]. I was expecting a cheap pos to use just for training purposes, but when I got it it was perfectly balanced for me, so I decided to use it for both security, home defense, and training. It has come in handy a couple times and is still doing good, [with the exception of the finnish wearing in places, a tiny ding, and a small scratch or two]. IMPORTANT: Length, weight, and balance vary from person to person. You should determine the weight and length you need BEFORE you purchase any tool, [a weapon is a tool for protection, etc], and then be certain to check the laws in your area concerning weapons and use of force. Then familiarize yourself with the tool and PROPPER teqniques for it's use, and practice them.

Well it is an expendable baton lol, works as described. Does have a rubbery smell from the rubber grip that I am sure will go away in time. Baton is a made in China product ( kind of figured it was), deploys easily but when trying to close it it is best to hit it on a solid surface ( like concrete ) to close it ( had to do the same with my ASP baton also). Nice sheath included if you wanted to wear/carry it on a belt but check your local laws before you do. This is NOT ASP baton quality, but also not the price of an ASP baton either. I seen better and I have seen worse quality. Average baton at an average price, so I give it three bullets.

I carry one and from experience, when 3 drunken guys in a huge truck stop you and want to rumble on a saturday night, this little Baton can change there minds right quick. It does stick alittle trying to get it back in.

I have 2 of these & lovem , & IMO 21" is a good length ( others seem short and 26" seems long ) I like the weight so that if you DO end up swinging it , it AIN't Plastic ..( most do NOT use leverage points ). Another plus to the weight is when you open it up , the SLide/CLack gets attention and it STAYS open ( I had a lighter one and you WANT it to be HArd to close - not easy ). I've had to use one a few times , best was to discourage an idiot road-rage driver who thought better when I stepped out of the truck with this in HAnd , Slide-CLACK . (Uh huh , Buh-Bye) BUT like previous post - it's best as intimidation, if they aren't scared , they got a GUN .

its alright

Overall its a good baton but dissapointed with the durability of the product.... I had to use it on a burglar in my home and it did well as far as defending myself but it broke in half.... it did the job though... Ill buy another one

This thing is cool and very impressive, but not very solid. After beating a old office chair it was bent and wouldn't close. To ward off an atacker though its perfect if you don't mind getting a new one once you've used it.

Great Product!

This has been an excellent baton. I have used it to ward off wild hog, which worked perfectly. Alot of fun.

Pros: Compromised length Heavy Sturdy Loud Cons: Folded length is around 8 inches Overall: Same as the 26" version, I love this thing. Its long, heavy, feels solid in your hand and when you flip it out the sound it makes along with seeing it come out is probably enough to discourage someone to want to get into a fight... unless they have something up their sleeve better than you. The only thing I can find wrong with it is the same thing that makes it good: the length. Being 8 inches long folded up, it is a little easier than the 26" (which is 9.5inches folded) but still kind of hard to hide.
