its alrite...works and functions of course, but like someone else said there is supposed to be a metal guard at the bottom which doesn't seem to be there...and ya the two "pinch clips" at the top definately take off some finish, but i don't mind because i plan to used my bayonet as a hunting/companion knife and not for show.

Nice sheath. Good condition. No problems. Minor green corrosion on the copper rivet heads, that wiped off.

I recieved my M8A1 Sheath today and was at 1st happy to see it and then when I attempted to put my M4 Bayonet in it there was a problem/ There are a pair of pinch spring clips at the hilt of the sheath that scraped and scuffed the matte black finish right off my bayonet with a single stroke! Oi! I bent back the side tabs and removed the spring clips and it works just fine now. I know the reason they're there to keep the bayonet from falling out but the snap strap at the top is plenty good for that. Only 3 bullets out of the bag. Sorry, I was much happier with the M4 Bayonet than with this sheath. Now I'm gonna' hafta' buy some matte black bluing just to restore the bayonet. Errr! Bye. Karl-Marcel Koenen

GREAT Item with absolutely no problem. Condition is new with no scrapes, etc. This is a great buy.

In as new or like new condition. I am happy with this purchase. The two I received did not have the metal tip guard as shown however. No markings on the scabbard other than M8A1. Tag enclosed said Atlantic Textile Corp. and was dated 6/77.

This sheath is new. If you need one buy this one.Forget the gun shows.
