Great product! It excels in sewing thick materials like leather, I've been using it to repair my leather jacket and it sews through the thickest leather with ease! I love it! It works great for sewing on patches, but if you are doing this I would recomend keeping the awl on top and sewing like you would for a back stitch.

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise, it really Worx!

Works better than anything I've found before this for those repairs around the house. When you buy one you'll wonder how you got by without it. The uses are endless & will save you alot of $$$$$$. Paid for itself many times over & easy to use. I used it lately to custom fit gear & my wife used it to repair a shoulder bag strap instead of spending a lot on another one.

great product

If you don't have one, buy one and an extra roll of course thread. The needles do not stay as sharp as they should, but they can be sharpened. You should therefore buy an extra set as you don't know when you will get a chance again. This tool works, but it takes a little while to get used to and it does waste quite a bit of thread. I have used it to put a whole new waist belt on my Military surplus backpack and to fix belts, knife cases, etc. It works, and if you are willing to work slowly the stitch looks good. But, remember that this is really an emergency tool and takes up a lot of space in your B.O.B. for something you may not often use.

I have had this product since the early 70's. It is a lifesaver when you need to sew canvas, leather, dog toys that have a tear in them (my current most frequent use), and anything you can imagine. If you can sew it and need a repair that will not quit, this is the product to use. I use the course waxed nylon thread made by the same manufacturer. Cannot tell you how ofen I have used this product over the last 30-40 years. It is fantastic.

This tool made short work of sewing canvas patches on my crawler Ghillie suit. I had tried to do this with a regular needle and thread. After breaking four regular needles, just knew something else needed to be used. Speedy Stitcher is a time proven tool. The thread which came with it is thick and heavy duty. Had known of this tool but it's real hard too find. Everyone needs this tool to repair those thing that are going to be put to the test. Greatful cheaper then dirt has it. Buy it you won't be sorry you did.

I have used this for years to sew up tents, gloves, clothes, sleeping bags, packs, and tarps. Still needle allows you to quickly repair material and strong string makes the repair permante. Very nice tool to have in your gear box.
