I had been contemplating getting one of these for a while, but what sealed the deal was when they dropped the price. I figured what the heck. It arrived today and apart from the instruction sheet am quite pleased with it. I hope that these come back in stock soon.

My rucksack and fanny pack were brand new, but the rest was crap. The shipping was really fast though.

This is a great deal. I've now bought several sets of P.58 webbing from CTD and I've been satisfied with every purchase. If you're having trouble putting it together, check out the Gear forum on FALFiles.com where there are quite a few tutorials on how to set it up properly.

This is a high quality bag. The only drawback is that it's made out from heavy cotton so it's completely not waterproof. Overall it is worth the money

Received mine in good time, as always with CTD. No complaints there. I did receive everything that is shown, however, most of the fasteners and clips which are supposed to hold all these pieces together were missing, basically making the whole set useless to me! Also, the condition is listed as used, but more appropriate would have been "stored" because the only issues I have seen with the material is some dry-rot on the corners of the pouches consistent with prolonged storage. Summary: Love CTD, but you may want to consider something like the BJR-075 for like ten bucks more. This bag is going to be my backup/give to a friend who doesn't have anything set. Don't try and make it your primary rig thats all. And as always, everything else I ordered came right away and was just as expected, keep up the good work guys.

Shipping was super fast. Got mine the day after the order went in. WOW Yes, the instructions are all but useless. But it isn't rocket science. The belt, bed roll, and ammo pouches were obviously used, but still in good condition. The rest looks almost as if it were new. The pouches were bigger than I expected. There is more than enough room in the smaller pouches for it to be used as a 72 hour B.O.B. With the addition of the ruck you could easily hold enough stuff for a week in the woods. Great service, great gear, great shipping! CTD comes through again.

Easy to assemble. Should carry enough ammo to hold off the zombies.

i picked up 2 of these. one didn't have a suspender part in it. one e-mail back to ctd and they fixxed the problem. great customer service. the back pack did smell, but airing out outside and some spray took care of it. it is what it is a 30 year old back pack that works just fine. i don't unerstand what people are fussing so much about. the directions were not that hard to figure out if you can think any at all.

To get rid of the musty smell, soak it all in a bath tub of hot water a drizzle of Pine Sol. Rinse, then set out in the sun to dry. Bad smell gone. I gave it 4 stars because, though the canvas is unbelievably strong, the whole system is quite heavy and lacking in the department of support--no frame for the ruck. This would probably suffice for a 2-3 day hunt, but don't expect to be able to load it up for a weeklong trek. Yes the directions suck, but with a little determination you can get it together in 15-20 minutes. The only other problem I have with the system is that everything is connected in such a way that you can't use individual parts like just the buttpacks or just the harness without the ammo pouches. For those interested, the mag pouches hold 3 AK mags each, 4 AR mags each, or 2 .308 mags each.

Well, like everyone else mentioned the instructions are a little hard to understand, so i looked at the pics, through the instructions on the couch , sat on the floor and had everything figured out in about twenty mins. not that hard to me... they do smell pretty musty, so i took the advice of the fabreeze and putting them out side and they arent to bad now... we will see in the morning... other then that they are in excellent condition, some of mine date back to the mid-80's so not bad, well used and put together well...

Great Pack!

Well, I got to say, I ordered my yesterday and received it today. Pack is in great shape. I modified my with a hydration pack and couldn't ask for anything better. As everyone else pointed out, instructions suck bad, but awesome bag. It is a little tight on me but I need to lose a few pounds anyway. Thanks CTD!

First thing you notice is the old moldy smell, but aside from that and the poor instructions its a very solid pack set. After a bottle of febreze and several hours outside the smell is much less noticable and expect atleast an hour to figure put how to put it all together and another hour to fit it correctly, but it holds more than enough gear, with straps for a tent and sleeping bag. An excellent camping pack.

Excellent product. Durable and versatile, mine was in good shape too. The instructions just need higher definition pictures in the instructions.

Great, great, great...........the only thing that drop's it to a 4 rating is the instruction's would have been better off if written in crayon. But the gear is perfect, got two for my son's and they love them!

Nice peice of kit for the price!

First off..the shipping was actually fast, big plus. The kit looks and feels tough, mag puches can hold a few sks mags in it..as stated they have alot of give to them..everything else is sturdy. I really enjoy that the big main pack has a quick detach option..I'm sure I can find a use for the big pack. Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because it could of had much better and easier to follow directions..

With poor directions it takes a good couple of minutes to figure out exactly how it goes together and some parts of it don't seem as well attached as they should be. As stated in the first review the large pack is practically useless and would be better replaced with some other backpack. I can't really figure out why it has so many straps and it is only really held on by hooks that could accidentally come undone. A few AK mags fit into the mag pouches comfortably, making them the best part of the purchase. You'd be better off getting a tactical vest and a back pack. Otherwise this is a great army man prop.

Great set for the price. Mine is marked 1976 in the main bag, but the main bag and belt look a little older than the rest. Plenty of use on it with only one really worn spot. Good stuff.

The set shown is British army 58 pattern webbing,We used that webbing for 30 years plus and the ammo pouches were designed for 20 rnd FN mags but are pretty forgiving and there are plenty of give in them.I have had a set of 58 for over 12 years and it has never yet let me down. The only let down is the large pack as most of us dumped the pack and would use a padded backpack instead. If you need a heavy duty set of webbing "just in case" you,ll be hard pressed to find something to beat this stuff
