after review of the others guys feedbacks I decided to give it a try. I got it and tried it on my 1954 all-original Russian SKS. well, it is as others triers experience. It is not fitting on my SKS, I tried to file a little at the time, trying to install it after a little of the work, and I spent 15 minutes to play with it, but it sits more steady than original. Will recommend to anyone with russian sks, don't know about yugo's and nikko's. but it was fun to work on , and it is fun to use it with confidence.

Very happy with the value pack. Had to do a little fileing on the scope mount, but with the table grinder it took me no time @ all. The new scope mount makes the spring and bolt a little tighter in my Yugo, but so far that hasn't proved to be a problem. It (the scope) provides a crisp clear view of the target and you couldn't ask for better quality at this price.

This truly is a nice scope mount & scope package. Someone really put some thought into this set up.The scope sits behind the breach, so the shells when ejected don't hit the scope,unless you use a longer different scope. Also no need for a shell deflector. Very good BANG for the buck.I had to very little filing on the two tabs and the mount fit nice and tight.Hit it with a coat of nice satan black paint and it looks great. Thanks CTD.

This is a wonderful set. The receiver cover with rail is manufactured too long, but simple filing of the metal prongs made it fit perfectly. The scope seems to be nice. Everything else is nice too.

I have just put the reciever and scope on my rifle and am very pleased with the look and functionality of the product. It took some work to put the receiver in my Chinese SKS. I had to file the front part of the pin hole. It is a tight fit, I was scared to take away much more metal in fear of safety. I think the product is very good.

What more can I add to the rest of the comment... Simply the best value. Can't beat this pack. Aside from filing galore, it fitted on my Yugo. The receiver cover actually fits better than the original now. Highly recommended for any SKS owner. BTW I haven't even tried the scope yet but I think that's a bonus so what ever the result is, I still give this product pack an A+++++

The product is good quality but, my receiver cover doesn't fit to good. It is a bit loose.

Excellent value. Excellen quality all around, although you can get better "Shooting and Maintenance" information at http://www.surplusrifle.com/sks/operations.asp Yes, some filing may be required on the receiver cover, but mine fits snug as the OEM part. My SKS is Chinese Type 56 brought back from VN in 1970, so I was pleased that some of the newer products would work for an oldtimer made in the late '50s. Also like the military sight and reticle. Re-mounted the gun into a awsome looking Tapco T6 for a new look and feel.

Got my value pack quickly, only three days! Read instructions carefully for a hassle-free installation. I had to do just a little filing to make the top cover fit my SKS and widen the ears just a tad but the instructions say to do this. Perfect fit, very nice construction and the scope is nice, I couldn't be more pleased for the price I paid.

I couldn't believe all you get for this small investment. Not a bad little scope, and you can't expect much more than the scope, manual, cleaning tool, and mounts for under fifty bucks. I'm truly impressed.

Better than expected!!! But my favorite is the scope!!!
