first i must say if you do not have a dremel tool you will not be able to install. that being said this stock is awsome, it is not flimsy like other ATI stocks. it looks bad a$$ and funtions very well. i have a russian sks and it fits good after you grind out the trigger well. it comes with like six different sling swivels and a bunch of different weaver rails wich the ad does not tell you. all and all kick butt!

Nice stock...needs fine tuning!

I just recieved my SKS ATI folding stock, very nice piece once installed, however it did take a little more time to install than most of thier other stocks. Personally if you do no have access to an endmill, c-clamp, belt sander, tools, & alot of patience, you may want to seek help to install this stock, but again, it's a VERY NICE looking & functionable stock!

Nice stock, with some work

Bought this stock with my Yugo SKS recently. I was expecting to do some filing based on the other review here. After some trial and error, I ended up busting out the drill and a large bit, and the dremel to make the area where the trigger assembly would fit deeper. It was too shallow and the upper and lower parts of the gun wouldn't snap together. After that, it went in fine, snug fit. All that work was worth it, because I really like this stock. It is very comfortable, and very sturdy. I have put about 50 rounds through with this stock so far, but it doesn't feel like it's going to give out ever. I thought it was the coolest looking stock out there which is why I bought it. If you are willing to put a little effort into making it fit, it's definitely worth it.

Decent

Well, this definitely is a bad-ass stock, No question about that. Be prepared to dremel out the portion between the barrel, and the trigger grouping though. That is what I had to do for my Yugo type 56. Also be prepared to remove the bayonet as there is no slit cut in the stock for it. (not like it was very useful anyways). All in all I will give this a 4/5 just because of the work required to get this thing on.

SKS ATI STOCK

I recently put an ATI stock on a SKS rifle it can take quite a bit of modifing. The instructions tell you to remove the pisol grip first so the trigger assembly will go in. After you have placed the barrel and action in the new stock place the trigger assembly in. Then the instructions state " if the trigger does not fully lock into place some minor modifications may be needed". "Due to the many variations of the SKS a small amount material may need to be removed to provide the proper fit". You will need a Dremel tool to remove the plastic beneath the pistol grip to get the trigger assembly to snap into place. The particular SKS rifle I was working on required a lot of material to be removed in order to get the trigger to snap into place. I have insalled a lot of after market stocks and the ATI stock was the most difficult of all. All though after the stock was installed it looked very nice and functioned well.
