18.5" Replacement barrel for Remington 870 12 gauge shotguns used to destroy locks and hinges in order to gain entry through doors.

This tactical barrel is designed to shoot frangible breacher slugs and features a 3" chamber, ported and crenelated strike muzzle, matte blued finish, and a beaded sight, Made by Mossberg.

Can be used with any 2 3/4" or 3" 12 gauge shotgun shell.

Forget how cool it looks, this barrel is the real deal. I am over 10 years deep in the industry and this barrel is worth every penny. A must-own for anyone looking to prepare a shotgun for home defense/combat. It fit my 870 like a glove. Mossberg makes great gear. Don't believe me, look up the new Thunder Ranch model Mossberg 590 endorsed by Clint Smith. The barrel comes standard on the weapon.

This is the barrel that will turn your 870 into the zombie apocalypse gun that it had always wanted to be. This barrel appears to be a true cylinder bore, so take note if you are seeking tight patterns at longer ranges. Several manufacturers make premium loads that will still produce tight groups out of this barrel (Hornady Critical defense was impressively tight at 40 yards and about 15 inches), where the Remington tactical 00 and Winchester LE 00 produced decent patterns of roughly 15 inches at 20-25 yards. I recommend patterning and practice so that you know what you've got it ever the chips are down. The barrel is heavily built, and will take a beating. If you want a lighter gun, this is not the best choice. If you like tough, heavy, do-it-all barrels like me, this is one of the best available choices. Other reviewer have mentioned that this part comes in dirty, and they are right, but manufactures pack parts for long - term storage.

Barrel hooked up perfect to my Remi 870, looks fantastic and it gets a 2 thumbs up for fear factor; shipping was super fast, even with ground. CTD even sends a pre-paid return, not that it will be needed. The barrel was oiled prior to shipping. Looks great with a pistol grip, I did have to trim my for end grip a bit to get the slide to move at the speed I like. Blows any factory barrel away hands down.

This was my first purchase for my first tactical shotgun build. I ordered on Monday and had the barrel at my door by Thursday. For that reason alone I will be ordering from this company again. First impressions are awesome. The barrel is thick which is a good thing, and should lend to many years of use. The overall look is just down right mean. It does not add any additional weight to the gun if you are changing out a longer barrel. Over all a good deal on a good barrel.
