Replace your current magazine tube cap with this internal laser and zero in on the threat! Ideal for home defense shotguns, or any tactical situation where point-of-aim is critical or sights are hard to see. Activate the laser with the pressure on/off switch.
Fits Remington 870 or Mossberg 12 gauge shotguns with magazine tube caps.
Does not reduce magazine capacity.
Will not fit Mossberg models unless they have the Remington style magazine caps, like the Model 835. Does not fit Mossberg 500.

I can still get 5 rounds into the magazine. The laser works without any issue and adjusts easily for elevation and windage. I got an o ring to fill the gap between the laser and tube so that the barrel stays tight inside the receiver. It only screws in twice, like the other reviewer claimed. It doesn't have a front sling swivel like the factory end cap, but you don't need a sling on a defensive shotgun.
4.0 Rating Okay, I tried it.... - 4/18/2010Shotgun 5mW Laser Use in Remington 12 Gauge 870's and Mossberg 12 Gauge with Magazine Tube Cap4.0000

Well it fit as advertised but it will reduce the shell capacity by one. It threads down two turns, but stays in the detent like the original cap. No problems with switch operation. Puts a rifled slug in the 10 ring, five out of five at 25 FEET. Can't decide if it's worth losing an extra round though. Won't work with a magazine extension. For that I'm going to look around for a system that will allow an extended mag.
5.0 Rating It says in the current catalog.... - 4/10/2010Shotgun 5mW Laser Use in Remington 12 Gauge 870's and Mossberg 12 Gauge with Magazine Tube Cap5.0000

It says in the current catalog, (305-ERI) bottom of descripton paragraph "does not fit on Mossburg 500". I have a couple of Rem. 870's. From the positive reviews here I'm gonna give it a try.
4.0 Rating problem - 1/8/2010Shotgun 5mW Laser Use in Remington 12 Gauge 870's and Mossberg 12 Gauge with Magazine Tube Cap4.0000

Ordered this little beauty and it was back ordered for a bit, when I finally got it, I installed it and then tried it out but the loading of the magazine made it quit working, when I removed it and checked the batteries it worked once more, but when I loaded the magazine it quit working. Like the pressure was making something either short out or lose connection. I returned it for another since this is a really great way to install a laser on shotguns. We shall see in the future how well it preforms. The logic is there just the execution is faulty. Plus made in china so quality control might be a problem.
4.0 Rating laser for Rem. - 11/26/2008Shotgun 5mW Laser Use in Remington 12 Gauge 870's and Mossberg 12 Gauge with Magazine Tube Cap4.0000

I like this product but I did have it fail to work after some quick fire drills on my 870 Rem. It worked again after switcing the switch off and on a few times . It was deadly with 2&3/4"Slugs @ 10 yards point of aim from the hip , bulls eye every time in daylight. You can count on this if you need to use deadly force up to 10 yards as tested. Note:You will lose one round in the magazine due to its size ,3 in stead of 4. Tested with both 2&3/4,00 buck and slugs .
