Not Happy at All!

I got one and tried it on a Ruger 22cal MK III Hunter.
At first I was very impressed. It looked great on the Ruger.
I took it to the range and after zeroing it it was just plain incredible.
At 25 yards I shot .5" groups and hitting dead center every time.
Suddenly it stopped working. I called NCStar and they said that they never had one do that before! I checked it to see why it was doing that and found out the problem. The battery spring arm can't take the recoil of a 22
These are fine for Air guns maybe.
I sent it back to NCStar and they replaced it.
When I received the replacement I turned it on only to find out that the dot is no longer a dot but more of a small squigly line. Called NcStar again and they told me to send it back for and they'll replace it again!
I paid $90+tax and twice $9.00 for shipping it back to them.
It's not a good way to handle business.
Next, I tried several of their scopes and the reticle is so large that it covers up a person at 100 yards. The construction of most of their products is just plain horrible. In this case you really get less than you paid for.

I was so disappointed! There are others out there by other name brands but they are much more expensive. I guess you get what you pay for. I had recently purchased a Sightec brand with automatic brightness control and I love it. The dot is bright and the automatic brightness feature works great. It looks cool on my m99 Ruger carbine, it's tough and accurate. This NcStar unit is a piece of junk! Mine quit before I got it mounted. The wire came off the off-on switch as I was putting the top portion down to complete the installation. It turned out to be a "cold soulder" connection and was easily repaired. I mounted it on an air rifle and the dot was not bright enought for daylight shooting even with a new battery. This was not the first time I had been disappointed with a NcStar product. I had recently purchased a 1" compact tube sight at a Ft. Worth gun show and the elevation turret was so crooked the cap would't seal on the "O ring". Needless to say, I'll never look at another NcStar product.
Junk

Brought this for my sks paratrooper thinking it would make a great low profile sight. Took it to the range fired the first shot and it was about 2 inches high and 2 inches to the left at 25 yards. Not bad adjusted it a little to the left and fired and it hasnt worked sense. Near as I could tell it broke the circuit board where it makes contact with the battery. I took it back to the store in Fort Worth and they were cool and replaced it with a new one. I went back where to the range fand it only took 5 or 6 rounds to zero it. Then bang it also stopped working. This might be a good sight for a airgun or a .22 but for a real rifle or handgun with any type of recoil it is worthless.
