Great Sight, 06/29/2008 |
| Reviewer: Clay |
| Best low price sight I’ve ever seen. I love this little Leapers red/green dot. I have it mounted on my M4 and it’s great. It is perfect for a low budget sight for plinking and target practice. Mine consistently puts rounds on target on my six inch plate at 100 yrds. I have had this little baby mounted on top of my M4 for about a year now and she stays zeroed and holds up just fine with real ammunition fired from a real rifle. I have not used it in inclement weather so I don’t know how it will do in the rain and fog but I have shot with it in the snow and in high heat and it shoots great. It does not have an auto off or shut down feature but the batteries work well enough for a couple of days on the range of about two or three hours per day. I highly recommend this sight if you aren’t willing or able to buy the higher end expensive brand names for your sporting arms. |

| I bought this red/green dot scope to go on my Hi-Point 40 cal. carbine.
Hi-Point is an inexpensive gun and I didn't want to put an expensive scope on it. I was impressed with the Hi-Point and I am equally impressed with this scope. In my opinion it is well worth the money I think it is worth more but am glad it only cost what it does. I do not know how it will work on a higher recoiled rifle but I will be finding out soon. |

falls apart and green setting dosent work, 11/17/2007 |
| Reviewer: Scotty |
| I purched this combo red/green dot scope a couple months ago. It worked great for the time being. I put on my RPK LMG and i guess from all the rapid fire that i like to the green settings on my scope no longer work and the red ones shut off all the time and i keep on having to turn it on constantly. plus the bateries dont last long and my flip up lense caps fell apart. The spring and pin that holds the caps up fell out and now i have to take them on and off manualy. i would not recomend this if u have high calaber weapon and u like to burn up ammo like i like to do its not built to with stand all of the recoil when sooting rapid fire. 223 cal and under it works great no 762.39 or 762.54R |
OK for paintball, 11/03/2007 |
| Reviewer: Jason Wallace |
| I got this for my paintball gun. It is made of metal, is built pretty well, and overall feels very solid. Sure the flip up lens covers could be more durable, and the dot more crisp, but that's OK. Choice of color and brightness is very nice. My main complaint is this. The dot moves with relation to the position of your eyeballs. So for example you fix the gun in place, with the dot on target. As you move your head around, the dot will move around off target, even if the gun has not moved. This means you must be very consistant with how you look through the sight for it to remain accurate. Even then, it will always be somewhat off because you can never look through it EXACTLY the same every time.
For paintball, this is plenty accurate. plinking at short ranges, ok. But if you need serious accuracy or consistency (real hunting vs. varmint shooting)... keep moving. If you need a good low cost site for a pellet gun, BB gun, paintball gun, or .22... You will probably be pleased. |

| this is a perfect addition to my ruger 10/22 for varmint huntin at average range but for you serious target shooters the dot may be too big to get a bullseye group after about 50 yards.for the price though its more than enough for my varmint needs. |

Updated Review, 01/31/2007 |
| Reviewer: Chad |
| This is an update for this scope. After the first review I noticed the battery was dead. I assumed it was from the vendor and old. I put a new battery in and the next morning (leaving it OFF all night) it did the same thing. After one more battery try (3 now) I gave up. It's an OK scope but if you really need it and your battery is dead it doesn't do you much good. Cheaper than Dirt issued an RMA, so that is good. |
Great Value, 01/30/2007 |

| I mounted this scope on my SP-8 paintball gun. That's right; paintball! It worked great and was wickedly accurate. Now my best friend wants one too. The reticle could be clearer, but you won't find a better bang for your buck. |
Parallax Free?, 01/17/2007 |
| Reviewer: Joe in MD |
| Tried this scope on a 10 meter air pistol with horrible results. The problem turned out to be that parallax was causing the point of impact to move all over the target. Have not tried other red dot scopes that also claim to be parallax-free, but this one is definitely not. It may work better with rifles (shorter eye relief) but will not work on pistols!
Quality seemed good, otherwise. |

Good Value, 01/13/2007 |

| For the money this is a pretty decent scope. The reason for the 4 bullet rating. Dont get me wrong being that it is a Leapers scope it will do the job just fine, but it really is a great value compared to some of the lesser quality Red Dots out there that cost more. My only issue thus far is the crispness of the Red/Green dot reticle itself. However that is to be expected at the price. Only the vastly more expensive Red Dot scopes will have a very fine and crisp dot. |
Good Scope, 01/04/2007 |
| Reviewer: Chad |
| This is a nice and cheap scope. The pins on the flip up covers pop out. You will have to replace them with some creative engineering. I got pretty good groups with it at 75 yards for the price. |
Red/green dot scope, 12/28/2006 |
| Reviewer: Randal T. |
| I has used this product on my CQC platform SR-16, the scope itself is quite good for indoors, but at longer ranges, it is somewhat lacking. The body of these things can take quite a pounding, sand, wind, rain, and recoil from 7.62 and below.
My Issues
1-The flip-up len's covers always loose the metal pins that it comes with, I just replaced these with a metal pins with a larger one and solved the issue.
2-Also if the power in the battery is less then half, the dot will fade. Thus why this product gets a 3 out of 5.

red dot scope, 12/14/2006 |

| I just placed this scope on my ruger 10/22. The scope performes well, only problem I have is at 50 yards the dot is the same size as the outer ring of my target, making it tricky to fine tune. Works great for hunting small game though. Overall am pleased with this product. |
