I bought this so I could carry my gun when I go running. The elastic straps hold the gun securely and the exterior pockets are great for holding my cell phone and a speed loader. The pocket on the outside of the flap does its job of carrying my badge and ID. The belt keepers are a good idea if you plan to were the holster hiking or something and would be wearing a belt, otherwise they seem to get in the way. The wide straps and the extended pouch one either side of the holster make it very comfortable even with a heavy gun. The zipper system is standard and not really similar to other fanny pack holsters, however I tied a bit of 550 cord to one and it opens easily enough.
