A Great Hydration Pack, 04/25/2008 |

| I love this pack. I bought one and liked it so much I bought a second for the truck. It has lots of space in it's two storage compartments. It's very well made and uses very durable materials. |

| Excellent little pack! Heavy duty, rugged material. Hydration Bladder seems equal to expensive name brands. Zippers are fine on mine, seem to be good quality, robust zippers. I've beat the heck out of this pack and it holds up fine and is comfortable to wear. Mainly use it for mountain biking and paintball, I've stuffed its so full you can hardly close the zippers, (it is a little pack). Not for people who need to haul a lot of stuff or even as a book bag, but if you need a useful little pack/hydration system with decent amount of storage space, BUY IT! |
So-So Bag, 05/25/2007 |

| I bought this pack for short hikes and mountain biking. It is well designed with a extension zipper that (IMHO ) doubles the capacity when unzipped.
The water bladder is not supported to well and results in a bulg of the water bag at the bottom.
The main zipper compartment has two-way zippers. Mine have to be closed with the zippers meeting in a certain spot or the zipper will split open. There are certainly not "self-healing" zippers.
Also these are not mil-spec (military specification) made bags. The manufaturer is named Mil-Spec.
All in all I am not screaming for my money back and still use it occasionally for mountain biking but I think the money would have been better spent at rei-outlet.com on a last year model hydration bag. Live and learn. |
great bargain hydropack, 12/06/2006 |

| Gang, you've just found the best bargain on a hiker/biker hydration pack. For a $25 "imported" pack, I was expecting lightweight nylon and plastic little zippers. Nope. This is heavy duty material with big, robust zippers, sturdier than most name brand packs. There's a 3rd zipper around the large compartment that allows it to expand.
The unit I got originally had a lot of dangling/loose threads and stitches, and had a rip in the seam by one of the shoulder straps. It was late November and this was a Christmas gift. I called CTD to arrange an exchange. I was a little nervous about getting it sent in and then getting the replacement back in time for Christmas (and maybe a little hassle). CTD came through BIG TIME! They sent me a replacement back without getting the old one back first, so the new one arrived with 20 days to spare . . . and NO hassle on the phone! Not only that, but the new one did not have the dangling/loose threads and I'm convinced the one I got first was a fluke.
Objectively the only reasons this pack did not rate 5 bullets are the shoulder pads could use more padding and the bladder pouch does not have a way to secure the bladder at top like most other packs (but it seems to stay put fine). I think the quality of materials and price offset those minor issues and recommend this pack. |
