Convenient Fuel, 03/31/2008 |

| One packet of this stuff is perfect for bringing 16 oz. of water to a full, rolling boil in a Kelly kettle in four minutues. I can definitely see blue flames coming from the top of the kettle, and the stuff is just about gone by the time the water boils--four minutes. The chimney effect of the kettle, pulling cool air in from the bottom, probably makes the pyropac burn faster and hotter than it otherwise would. Leaves a thin layer of soot inside the chimney, which wipes off easily with a moist paper towel, compared to the gooey gunk left by burning twigs and dry leaves. I'm sure this stuff has many other applications, but it is PERFECT for use with a Kelly kettle. |

| Once this stuff gets going it's pretty good. No real flames, lot of heat. I found that it was a little hard to get lighted and burned out pretty quick. Used it on esbit stove, think'll I'll look for another type of fuel. |

| Great for starting fires... You got to have some if you like to camp. It claims to be flame-less, but you see a flame every once in awhile. It will get hot in a hurry. |

| Where has this stuff been? I never even heard of it before so I bought it. This stuff burns hot and it kinda crystallizes as it burns. I use it in my esbit stove and it works wonderfully in it. |

| I have used this to cook with and it works really great to start fires. You can catch wet wood on fire and even start small logs on fire. We keep this with our survival gear to start fires when no tinder is available.

| Lights easily & quickly. Just like the description says there is no odor. And no visible flame, either. Good stuff to keep on hand. |
