Tactical rig allows instant access regardless of your position. Constructed of lightweight, 1000 Denier nylon; features six magazine pockets with bungee nylon keepers for 30 round AR-15 magazines, padded shoulder straps that are adjustable, MOLLE style strapping on back and front, and a Hydration pocket is ready for you to insert your bladder and tubing, quick release buckles and Velcro strapping to secure this rig and "D" rings on the shoulders. These rigs allow you to access your gear while sitting, standing, or kneeling.
Our Tactical Magazine Chest Rig is outfitted with many features making it a fantastic value for those needing a modular vest with internal magazine pouches.
The Tactical Magazine Chest Rig supports a full combat load of ammunition without adding a single pouch, and has a padded harness and a sewn-in hydration bladder pocket.
The front opening rack secures with snaps and hook and loop closures. The removable bib secures to the top of the rack by hook and loop and to the harness via straps with snaps. The harness attaches to the front of the rack with two side release buckles, and at the rear with three adjustable straps with ladderlocs on each side.
The removable bib also features PALS webbing and an internal pocket.
The harness features a built in drag handle that tucks out of the way with a small piece of hook and loop above the Hydration bladder pocket. The hydration pocket secures with hook and loop and the lid has a small section of hook and loop tape perfect for morale patches or name tapes.
The internal map pockets also ingeniously double as a mesh lining for the magazine rack system.
The six built in magazine pouches can hold any standard M16 magazine or AK mags in addition to many similar magazines. Some of our customers have used it for 10/22 and M14 magazines.
Magazine retention is accomplished by the deep pocket and backed up with a bungee cord retention strap.
This rig can be adjusted to fit over your body armor or worn as a stand alone vest.
There is enough MOLLE compatible PALS type webbing on this carrier to add any and all pouches you would ever need. There are 3 rows and 9 columns on each side of the rack and 3 rows and 4 columns on the bib. The Harness' shoulder area has 2 rows and 3 columns and the hydration pouch has 5 columns and 6 rows.

Im pretty tall and skinny so this vest wasnt a perfect fit. After pulling all the straps in, tying them off, and everything I could think of other than modifying the rig I was still able to slip it off. However after I put a normal long sleeve shirt on over a wife beater it was better. Sliding loaded mags into the slots pushed it more against my body, and with a full water pouch in the back it kept it snug. Only down side is as I drank the water the vest started to sag little by little. All in all Im going to have to modify the vest with maybe paracord on the sides, however solid stitching. I see this lasting a long time.
A good buy

Can't be beat. Yes, it's a good idea to cut the webbing, and yes it's a little big. If you want something fitted to YOU, spend the money and go to Tactical Tailor. Carries all my mags, though they do stick a bit when I'm trying to get them out (Galil mags have tabs on the front and rear). It's comfortable and doesn't restrict any movement.
Top Notch Quality for the Price!

Short people beware! I stand 5' 5½" tall, so if you stand under 5' 6" tall, then this rig will be big on you. However, as with many rigs on the market it is adjustable. The problem is, once you have the shoulder straps cinched so the front of the rig is chest level you'll find a lot of slack from the shoulder straps left over. The only solution to remedy this is to roll or fold them up and clamp them down. I have a stocky build, but even the rear straps had to be adjusted to their ends. Fortunately, once they were adjusted the rig fit comfortably and snugly. Don't be afraid to purchase this rig if you stand under 5' 5½" tall and aren't massively built. The quality is superb! Granted, I've never handled a chest rig before, but I'll tell you that the straps held very well when I was yanking on them with full force. I was afraid they'd snap off, but the stitching held! The rest of the rig is tightly woven and seems as though it will hold up to years of abuse. The 1,000 Denier nylon is also known as ballistic nylon and it is top notch! Don't buy the 600 Cordura vests! Remember: the higher the number, the better the quality. 600 vs. 1,000. Denier vs. Cordura. RESEARCH IT! Overall, this is a great buy. "ModGear" is a generic name CTD uses for much of the products they carry. I wish I knew why. I was pleasantly surprised to find out mine is made by Condor Outdoors.
Best Damn Rig You'll Ever Buy

I purchased this rig back in early spring of 07' while I was in the US Army serving on an ODA w/ the 5th SFG. My particular team was mainly tasked w/ Target Interdiction, but we saw a lot of Direct Action as well. Most of my brothers opted to buy more expensive versions from Blackhawk! costing hundreds of dollars, but being a life long fan of OD green, which Blackhawk! didn't offer, and having a wife and son whom could use the money, I chose to buy two of these and spent under $90. I won't tell you that my fellow operatives rigs didn't stand the test of time.... that would be a lie. What I will tell you is that to date I've never used the 2nd one I bought. The 1st saw a lot of use in combat, a little over 2 years worth. I loaded it down w/ spare mag pouches, utility pouches, med kits, etc. Often changing out the molle to suit operational requirements, and always shoving things into the strapping. It took a beating and to date still does. In such time it has faded, I cut down the 6 girth adjustment straps and 2 height adjustment straps early on (I'm 6'4 and have varied between 213-241 lbs over the years), as well as cutting the MOLLE strapping that connected the middle magazine compartments to the snap/hook & loop portion of the rig.....something anyone who can utilize a pair of scissors and a bic lighter can do. The mag compartments did loosen up a little, but the bungee keepers are still pretty solid and retain elasticity... though a few are nearly frayed from rubbing on magazines, the MOLLE strapping had good spacing and stitching when I bought it and retains all the quality stitching. I sill use it from time to time when my employment doesn't require me to wear body armor, at which point I turn to a plate carrier, one that I purchased from CTD as well.... Plate Carrier MOLLE-365, of which to be honest, I dislike because adjusted all the way for length it doesn't even clear my rib cage and all my equipment is in my arm pits. Really hard to obtain a magazine from that height. BUT unless you NEED, and I stress NEED a plate carrier for real world operations, (If you got lost in that statement, I mean stand a chance of being shot by a bullet... not a paintball or airsoft pellet, etc.) than I highly suggest you buy this chest rig, you will not regret it. Hell, if you use a "naked" plate carrier (i.e. it holds plates but is void of MOLLE strapping) than I still highly recommend this chest rig!!!
