Original military shovels used to dig fox holes and cut limbs during the cold war era. Constructed of heavy steel with a dual blade; one smooth side and one saw back side, gripping handle allows you to wrap your hand around it for a sure grip, folds to one-third of it size and comes complete with an E-tool pouch. Pouch has Alice style hooks to attach to belt. Shovel measures about 18" length and is used in Grade II condition.

All Military surplus products are used, the condition of the products varies, and the quantities may be limited. Unfortunately, we can not accept backorders or returns on any surplus products.
Surplus condition scale:
Grade I - Used in like new to excellent condition.
Grade II - Used in good condition, may show minor use.
Grade III - Used in fair condition, will show normal wear and tear from daily use.

Ordered one of these back in October. Arrived in condition as described, a little wear on the shovel blade but the pouch appeared to be new (no dirt). Nothing loose or damaged. I recommend this product to anyone looking for something for camping or BOB.

Item arrived exactly as pictured with some paint worn away on the shovel head/blade. Appears used, but not abused. Pouch was a little dirty, made of sturdy rubberized plastic. Definitely grade II, but that is what I expected and I am very happy. Looks like I got one of the last ones which is a shame because the price was very right.

This shovel is a beast of a piece of kit. Well made and solid (heavy as well). Don't waste your time on the cheap reproductions this is the real deal.

My shovel arrived in as far as I can tell brand new condition. Strong, sturdy and just plain awesome. The carry case requires some effort to close, but for the price I am not complaining.

I had used this type during my German military time. Great use as a spade or shovel, somewhat usable as pick or ax (too little weight at the blade). Unusable as a saw. While not the greatest carry-on item at almost 3 pounds (1.3 kg), perfect for the trunk and worth it's weight as it is virtually indestructible. CTD delivered me a brand new shovel and a visibly used but working case.
