We have been inspecting and selling military surplus for years, and this is the best tool we have found. Vintage Swiss military shovel features a rugged leather cover, sturdy wooden handle, and a super quality steel blade so stout it can be sharpened into a hatchet. The stitched and riveted classic leather cover is Swiss marked and includes belt and pack carriers. We have handled mountains of military surplus and this shovel is the most rugged, durable, and practical piece of field gear we have seen. Measures 24" extended and 17" folded. Used in good condition, and very limited supplies.

| The best folding shovel I’ve ever seen! I will buy couple more for my friends. Very well made, locks at 90 and at about 180 deg. positions very securely with the locking nut. I also bought German shovel, both are great, but locking mechanism is better on this one (German is a little loose). Blade is little thinner then German, but very hard. Swiss shovel with it’s little less then 180 deg. angle and concave blade, larger in diameter handle provides more comfortable digging. Overall shovel feels very good in a hand. Worth more then what is sells for. |

| great tool
one problem i had with one similar to it is the wooden handle is held in with a pin..
after lots of hard use it can break. mine did. |
