My 1941 9130 looks like my Remington 700 SPS. Good material. It is not drop in installation. You will need to use a lot of sand paper. CTD is excellent with the delivery.

Well as other reviews said this isn't an easy drop in installation. In ATI's defense the mosin does have a lot of variants. It took me about an hour to get the stock ground down enough to work. If you don't have a dremel tool I don't recommend this. The final fit also left a lot of empty space between stock and receiver. All in all I wouldn't recommend this to someone who wants a high quality finish. I myself don't mind the finish quality because it’s more for function.

I think that it took longer to break down out of original wood,than it did to put it in this stock. Looks really nice,makes it like a new rifle. Fast shipping,and great product,popped right in,no extra tools or time needed AAA+. Cheaper Than Dirt,you guys kick ass. Will definitely do more business in the future

Took a couple hours of sanding with a Dremel. The barrel of my 1940 M91/30 was too thick the whole way down. Also, the interrupter/ejector spring would hit the stock at the forward most point. I just filed it down. I fired back to back with an original stock and this stock reduced the recoil considerably. The bolt stuck a few times with the Romanian milsurp lightball ammo. Bolt or ammo, I'm not sure. It makes the rifle much lighter, too. The receiver fit fine. Well worth the price. Fast standard shipping to CA!

I got this stock lightning fast. It was well packaged and protected. It took me 28 minutes (yes, I timed it) for me to get it to fit my 91/30. At first, I was going to say that, since I had to use my Dremel to make it fit, it was disingenuous to call it a "drop in." But, after thinking about all of the other after market stocks I have used throughout the years, this was the most worthy of that title. This stock makes the Mosin a really functional rifle. I modified the bolt, which was something I worried about that might interfere with the installation of this stock, but there is a cut out for it. If I ever need another stock for a Mosin, I am definitely buying another one of these. You just need a little patience, some common sense and a Dremel tool. Big deal. Guns are machines. If you are going to work on them, the very best tool you can own is patience. If you have a Mosin, buy this stock. You won't be sorry.
