This hightech item took my 22 year old rifle right into the twentieth century . IMHO this rock solid set up works the best for me as a scout rifle type mount for hollosights and long eye relief scopes with the extra bonus of two side rails and the 12 "comfort grip" rubber rail guards come with it as well .

good mount for 1/3 the cost. holds zero w/ Eotech and Burris scout in abusive field conditions. Try it and you'll love it. side rails are definite bonus over Ultimak.

I wish this product was full length, so that the Top rail would lock into the charger guide dovetail.

holding the part in hand it looks to be of decent quality. can't say if it installs easy because it won't fit my rifle. My rifle is a springfield armory "loaded" standard which has a medium weight(bigger) barrel. This handguard was made to fit standard GI contour barrels.
It looks like a good product though.
I will take it to the machine shop and try to make it work for me.
