Not a bad mount despite the negative reviews. I installed one of these on my carbine, and it works just fine during regular and substantial fire. All depends on proper installation. Happy shooting.

Bought one of this and put it on rifle and went to the range, after about 5 shots the bolt that holds the mount broke of and there went my scope, sent it back and got another one and while screwing in the bolt it broke off.......well should have know better "Made in China"

Don't be fooled!

I have, through my own ignorance, inadvertently bought three of these mounts for a Universal M-1 Carbine. One was advertised as manufactured by 'B-Square', one by 'Leapers', and the third some other company. In fact they are all identical, do require rear site removal and worst of all they were all made in China. The most troublesome thing however is that the two I actually mounted caused the bolt to hang on retraction, causing a gouge in the right side of the aluminum mount. I actually test fired the first one with a single round in the chamber and the bolt hung on the mount about three quarters of the way back. This could lead to all kinds of issues, right? Better stay away from this rascal it could hurt you. JW

Think twice

This was listed as an easy install that would not alter the weapon......only if you remove the rear sight (which requires a special tool or a gunsmith) I am returning this and will hope for better success on the rail system.
