Classic Hardwood Military folding stock with pistol grip, swing out wire stock and butt plate, sling swivel slot, and wooden hand guard, exact replica of the original GI issue with leather cheek rest and metal barrel band retaining clip but no band. Outfit and upgrade your classic WWII or Korean War vintage M-1 or M-2 carbine with this beautiful hardwood stock, not legal in all areas, check local laws before ordering. Will not fit Universal or Iver Johnson guns, or other replicas. Installation on the M-2 will require fitting to accommodate the selector. The current production Auto-Ordinance guns will require substantial fitting even though they are advertised as all Mil-Spec. The receivers on these guns are slightly larger in several areas than original GI Carbines.

Very Pleased!, 03/30/2008 |

| I am very pleased. No need to work on stock or rifle to accommodate. A perfect fit, a tight metal to wood match. It looks awesome on my original WWII carbine. The wood is darker than pictured, in great shape and a fine grain. The oiler holder does not really work well but I consider this a minor problem |
Not perfect, but..., 02/09/2008 |

| I bought this stock to put on my all original Inland M1 Carbine as a way to not only "spruce it up", but also so that I could protect the original stock. I had hoped to drop in the weapons receiver, but found that the rectangular cap which sits at the rear of the upper receiver would not fit into the new paratrooper stocks recoil plate.
But, with a little work from the old Dremel tool using a grinding tip, I was easily able to shape the recoil plate to accept it. Also, the folding stock has an opening for the oiler behind the leather cheek piece for the oiler too be placed in. I found it was a slight bit too wide for the G.I. issue one, allowing it to fall out if you moved the rifle around much. A small bit of rubber weather-striping placed on the inside curve fixed that problem rickity-tick. |
BEAUTIFUL STOCK, 02/07/2008 |

| VERY BEAUTIFUL WOOD GRAIN STOCK. IT TOOK 2 HOURS OF WORK WITH A DREMEL AND A SMALL WOOD CHISEL, BUT I KNEW IT WOULD BE WORK, SEEING HOW THE M1 WAS A "PLAINFIELD",(PRE-UNIVERSAL). THE FINISHED GUN LOOKS GREAT AND FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY, REALLY ADDS VALUE TO YOUR M1. I BOUGHT THE SLING AND OILER DEAL, ALSO. IF YOU AREN'T CRAFTY OR HANDY, AND DON'T LIKE A CHALLEGE, I'D THINK TWICE ABOUT GETTING THIS STOCK. QUITE A BIT OF WORK, BUT WORTH IT !!!!! |
Great Stock!, 01/02/2008 |

| Took a chance on ordering this for my WWII carbine after reading a few poor reviews. Though it was a bit pricey for a repro I must say I am toataly satisfied with my purchase! Beautiful finish on hardwood stock, looks like the original full stock I removed. Reciever dropped right in with no tooling or modification and fits like a glove! Hardware solid and functions perfectly. This is hard to tell, if at all, from an original! Thanks CTD! Only suggestion would be to throw in an oiler with the stock at this price. |
Yes it fits, 12/13/2007 |

| Yes it does fit a Iver Johnson at least on mine it does. It will not fit there 22 version that I can promise you. Yes it is hardwood and the finish is a medium walnut color. The only fiting I had to do was on the recoil lug, just took my dremel to it with a polishing stone and reblued it. Yes the front band is a very tight fit and could not get the spring to lock but will work on that later. Mine had the leather cheek piece and there looks like ther is a spot for a oiler behind it. The spring does make noise when you open and close it but lockup is positive. Wish it came with a parts brakedown sheet so you can order replacement parts in the future. In all I am very happy with it. |
Not hardwood., 12/03/2007 |

| I have this stock, and while the fit and finish is very nice, I really dont think its hardwood. Dents VERY easy, and is VERY lightweight. I own MANY milsurp weapons, and THOSE stocks are hard, so I know what hard wood is. This is not. I'm almost tempted to say its pine or cedar lol. But I can confidently say its NOT maple, hickory, beech, oak, or walnut. Waay too soft for that. |
good looking bad fit, 11/25/2007 |

| Stock looks great but requires major fitting. Good Luck if you purchase one of these. |

| Perfect fit, metal to wood is very tight. Is walnut with a oil finish, much darker than picture on web page. Took about 5 minutes to swap out my Inland from it's original stock to this one. Lock up on folder is tight and DOES NOT MOVE when you fire it. High quality repro, IMHO. |
Great fit, 10/16/2007 |

| Found the stock to be a perfect fit for my Inland military issue. No adjustments needed. The barrel band was a very tight fit but that is good. I spent more time trying to get the sling off my old wooden stock than I did on attaching this stock. Major downside is mine did not have the leather cheekpiece. I never followed up with vendor as I was planning to a attach a magazine pouch in its place. Still very pleased. |

Poor fit, 09/01/2007 |

| Nice hardwood. Appears to be walnut. Horrible fit. Required extensive alteration to receiver tang, including fabrication of a wooden shim. Manufacturer needs to improve his tooling. All this on an original WWII M1 carbine. |

| Stock looks real nice but will require a lot of work to get the barreled receiver to fix. For the amount of money I paid for it should fit without major reconstruction. |
