Well I haven't had it lond enough to take it out for shooting(12 hours). But so far I haven't been able to locate the extra magazines I would need to do some serious plinking. Where are they folks? Gots to be some someplace!
Great way to improve your 995!

I bought one of these before I even had my 995, but I didn't put it on for a few days just to see how it compared to the original. I could tell just by holding the stock that it was made out of better materials. When firing, it feels much more comfortable than the Hi Point stock. It is made out of much higher quality plastic (polymer whatever) and is definitely more aesthetically pleasing. The installation was a little confusing at first, mostly because mine didn't have an instruction booklet for some reason. There is a guide on ATI's page that explains the process fairly well, plus the Hi-Point disassembly guide on hipoint.7.forumer.com.
The magazines are much easier to slide into the gun with the new stock, it seems to guide them in much easier. I had to cut about 1.5mm off the spring for the magazine release button though, it wouldn't push in far enough to release the magazine.
Overall, other than the minor adjustment to the release pin spring, the process took about an hour completely, including time spent searching for the disassembly/installation guides. I would highly recommend this stock to anyone who owns a 995 carbine.
Well Worth The Money

This is by far the cheapest gun I own, but probably one of the most economical and fun to shoot. The gun is a bit bland from the factory but I could never complain with a price tag of only $135 brand new. Even though the stock cost almost as much as the gun it is well worth the money. Extremely easy install some fitment issues were easily fixed as to expect with any after market part. Give the gun a whole new look. I was considering purchasing the Beretta CX4 Storm carbine when I came across this stock and was able to give it a very similar look with a fraction of the cost giving me extra money to go towards new guns. I do reccomend getting the matching butt pad it is extremely comfortable and fits nice.
Nice change

I purchased the carbine and it is a great gun, but the first thing you notice is that it is not the most aesthetically pleasing gun in the world. The replacement stock definitely improves the look of the gun. I also had problems in the last step of the installation because the pre-drilled holes did not match the holes on the shroud. It seems as if this may be a common problem, but it was easily fixed with a good rotary tool and some ingenuity. After you finally get it together it has a nice short and solid feel, although it does seem heavier, and it looks like an entirely different gun. I would also strongly recommend buying the butt pad that is also available; the pad that comes on it is hard and does not fit securely to your shoulder, and the replacement fits nicely.
Not really worth it

I love my 9mm hi-point carbine. It's fun, cheap, accurate, and durable. The look was always pretty funky though. It is also hard to clean and the sling mounts were on the wrong side. I saw this stock and thought it looked cool. It came in a week later and I installed it which was an easy task untill the last step. My receiver cover was a little bent and made it hard to go together. On top of that, this stock is actully heavier than the orginial one. It also makes it even more complicated to clean because the stock relies on screws to hold together rather than pins or something else. The rifle now looks alot like an AK now which is not what I imagined. The butt of the stock is not rubber or contoured which it should be. The only good thing I can say about this stock is that it does make it more comfortable and shorter. The sling mounts are also correct this time, Not to mention the lifetime warranty. Unless looks are all that matter to you, I would say this stock is not worth the money.
Great Stock

I have always liked the HiPoint carbines, but the original stock left something to be desired. This replacement stock is perfect. Its alot more sturdy than the original and is very comfortable. It changes the whole feel of the gun and it looks great too. I love it. Its not very hard to install either. The instructions a very good and easy to follow. I'd recomend this to every HiPoint carbine owner out there. Its well worth the money.
