Good stuff!!!, 06/13/2008 |

| I bought 2 of these for my Remington 7400. I got a chance to take it out to the range the other day, and although I only tested one (as I was teaching my wife to shoot, didn't want her to blow her shoulder out haha) it functioned great. It was a bit touchy getting the first round into the chamber once or twice, but once it was in it worked great. It looked like my second one's lip was a bit bent, but I guess its fortunate that I work on sheet metal and I 'think' I was able to fix it. I guess i'll find out soon. But I highly recommend this product! You can't beat the price and its definately nicer than the plastic mags. Good stuff CTD! |
30-06 10rd mag, 03/01/2008 |

| I have bought this for my 742 woodsmaster carbine in 30-06. This will work but try getting this mag out after putting it is very difficult. The mag is very difficult to release once installed especially with ammo in it. Also doesn't work to well with 10 rounds in it. With 7 or 8 rounds it will work but once you are empty very difficult to change mags because it feels locked in. I imagine this might work on a 7400 woodsmaster but for those of us that have the old 742 that they stopped making in 1981 this mag isn't a good match. |

| I bought two of the 10 round magazines, and both function perfectly with 8 rounds. I did not expect them to function with 10 rounds, so was not disapointed when I had an occasional failure with 10 rounds |

| The 1st thing that disapointed me was that my clip came with a couple product magizeines in a bag. So the whole way to my house it was being knocked around. O ne of the lips was slightly bent. At 1st it would only feed with 6 in the clip in my 742 woodmaster. But i took the spring out and weakened it. So now it will feed with 8 in the clip. But i was hopeing for a better quality product. 8 is better than four though. |

| I bought 3 of these for my 7400 in .30-06
One magazine functioned well with 8 for fewer rounds, 9 worked well most of the time, but 10 almost always resulted in a stoppage.
Another magazine was in need of cleaning and polishing. Once this was done it functioned as above, 8 rounds or fewer it worked as well as the factory magazine.
The third magazine failed to function completely. The lips were bent and I discarded it.
I am satisfied with the performance of the two functioning magazines. I am disappointed that they required work and had one with bent lips.

| I bought 2 of these magazines for use in a new Remington 7400.
One functioned well with 8 or fewer rounds and the other one fails to function consistently. I checked for damage to the malfunction one and was able to determine the malfunctioning magazine had bent a lip. I was never able to get this one to work. I discarded the damaged magazine.
The one that functions consistently jams with 10 rounds loaded, occaisonally with 9 rounds loaded, however with 8 or fewer rounds it performs very well.

| IF YOU WANT THE BEST AVAILABLE, THIS IS IT! MUCH BETTER THAN THE PLASTIC ONE-TIME USE MODEL. WILL BUY MORE. 20 ROUNDS WOULD BE OUSTANDING! |

| A little sticky at first, but with a little sanding and repeated firings, this mag was great in my Rem 7400. Almost like a BAR from WWII! |
