I've gone through a LOT of different 10 round mags for my 7600 and have been dissapointed every time. Well, I got this one today, loaded up 10 rounds and locked it in. Cycled the action 10 times and it chambered and ejected every single one. Thats NEVER happened with any of the other ones, I'm getting antsy now to go try it at the range... I only gave it four stars because it could be a disapointment in the field and its a little loose (even the factory mags are somewhat loose). Grab them while you can, they won't last long.

Purchased for my 7600 pump. Apperance is of cheap construction and poor quality. No positive lock-in, even with bolt open. Factory, pointed style bullets hang and don't feed into chamber. Tip of bullets are not directed into chamber properly causing hanging. Factory mag works just fine. WOULD NOT DEPEND MY LIFE ON IT!. Say what you want, it's supose to work correctly with 10-rounds and with NO reworking. Another sub-standard quality product issued to the consumer and marketed for the money not function.

I bought two of these for my Remington 760 pump. No problems after 50 rounds. I can actually put 11 rounds in each mag, but I am guessing that may be hard on the mag spring. Easier to insert and release this magazine versus a 5 rd factory mag. I will buy more when they are available again. I gave three bullets because they are not the prettiest thing to look at.

Try in a 760!

I bought a couple of these a while back from CTD with the thought of using them bear hunting in my pump 760. WORKED FLAWLESSLY! No modifications needed. Nothing like looking a bruin in the eye knowing you got 10 surprises for him. I WILL be buying more. Yes, I understand there's nothing like the factory original for your auto-loader but in a pump, it's got wheels.

Not too bad

I bought two of these last year for a 7400 30-06. They can be hard to get to lock in but if you open the bolt and put it in it works fine. They both fire ten rounds without a hitch. I think I have had one missfeed, but if the rifle is clean they work fine. These are a must for hog hunting!

Don't waste your money! On these non-brand magazines! They don't hold 10 rounds. They don't feed into the mag tunnel well. The bullet jams the action. And the magazine doesn't release. Why would someone want to "file", "bend" or alter a product that is suppose to just work! Crap Mag!

I just purchused one of these mag. i'am having the same problem as the rest of you guys 7 rounds for me anymore than that and my 7400 jams the spring is just to heavy i'am going to try and replace it,also I have trouble getting the mag out of my rifle it sticks the notch on the back of the mag. that locks the mag. into place needs to be ground down a bit and i think that will fix that problem.

worthless

I bought 2 of these for my Remington 7400. I got a chance to take it out to the range the other day, and although I only tested one (as I was teaching my wife to shoot, didn't want her to blow her shoulder out haha) it functioned great. It was a bit touchy getting the first round into the chamber once or twice, but once it was in it worked great. It looked like my second one's lip was a bit bent, but I guess its fortunate that I work on sheet metal and I 'think' I was able to fix it. I guess i'll find out soon. But I highly recommend this product! You can't beat the price and its definately nicer than the plastic mags. Good stuff CTD!

I have bought this for my 742 woodsmaster carbine in 30-06. This will work but try getting this mag out after putting it is very difficult. The mag is very difficult to release once installed especially with ammo in it. Also doesn't work to well with 10 rounds in it. With 7 or 8 rounds it will work but once you are empty very difficult to change mags because it feels locked in. I imagine this might work on a 7400 woodsmaster but for those of us that have the old 742 that they stopped making in 1981 this mag isn't a good match.

Nice!!!

I bought two of the 10 round magazines, and both function perfectly with 8 rounds. I did not expect them to function with 10 rounds, so was not disapointed when I had an occasional failure with 10 rounds

The 1st thing that disapointed me was that my clip came with a couple product magizeines in a bag. So the whole way to my house it was being knocked around. O ne of the lips was slightly bent. At 1st it would only feed with 6 in the clip in my 742 woodmaster. But i took the spring out and weakened it. So now it will feed with 8 in the clip. But i was hopeing for a better quality product. 8 is better than four though.

I bought 3 of these for my 7400 in .30-06 One magazine functioned well with 8 for fewer rounds, 9 worked well most of the time, but 10 almost always resulted in a stoppage. Another magazine was in need of cleaning and polishing. Once this was done it functioned as above, 8 rounds or fewer it worked as well as the factory magazine. The third magazine failed to function completely. The lips were bent and I discarded it. I am satisfied with the performance of the two functioning magazines. I am disappointed that they required work and had one with bent lips.

OK but tempermental

I bought 2 of these magazines for use in a new Remington 7400. One functioned well with 8 or fewer rounds and the other one fails to function consistently. I checked for damage to the malfunction one and was able to determine the malfunctioning magazine had bent a lip. I was never able to get this one to work. I discarded the damaged magazine. The one that functions consistently jams with 10 rounds loaded, occaisonally with 9 rounds loaded, however with 8 or fewer rounds it performs very well.

A little sticky at first, but with a little sanding and repeated firings, this mag was great in my Rem 7400. Almost like a BAR from WWII!
