I brought this mag, and mine too was shipped in a package, but it had bubble wrap lining. Important! the mag states that it holds 32 rounds but it can actually hold a lot more, to my estimation possible about 48 or more. I easily over filled my mag without even noticing as there is no indicator telling you how much you have stuffed in there. With my experience the magazine performs great with 38. It maybe possible that "some" of the people who have experienced problems have overfilled the mag. I can see how it would jam being that the tension on the bullet at the top of the mag makes the bullet kind of stick. Hand gun mags are not really designed to hold such a high capacity of rounds to begin with. Although the mag works just fine after a good amount of usage i would not trust it with my life, more for show and fun.

I bought one on a whim and with the pending legislation I thought "do it while you can." The service was great, the product performs fine. I have put a hundred rounds or so with maybe one FTF. Since this is essentially for plinking and a conversation piece, it is fine. As previously stated, this is not for CCW or anything serious, but for the price, it delivers and is fun, no more, no less. If you have a few buck laying around, worth the purchase in my opinion.

Don't waste your money on these mags, I cleaned my gun very well, then bought one of these mags just to see if it worked, and it failed terribly. It jammed every 2 shots, and the spring is not strong enough to fire the bullets, so It pinches the bullet in the chamber. I would consider this a "Highly Dangerous Magazine" I'll be sticking with the nice 16 round clips.

Looked like fun...

Bought one just to take to the range. Turned out its more trouble than just switching mags, since it jams every 3-5 rounds. The spring is too weak and the follower tilts and causes HP rounds to nosedive before the feed ramp. The follower is also really soft plastic and looks really chewed up after only 4 uses. I have thousands of rounds thru the factory mags with no problems. Only positive is that it looks impressive hanging out of your grip and people want one when they see it.

I bought one of these to have just for fun. I’ve put about 100 rounds through it so far and only had three jams. It’s probably worth having one or two of these mags for fun, but I’d stick to factory 16 round mags for anything serious.

A+ mag =)

This mag was actually purchase for me as a birthday gift and has since had a couple hundred rounds through it without a single hitch. People just need to understand that Promag is hit/miss for most people. Mine was a definite 'hit' and I will purchase 2-3 more in the near future for fun =)

Not such a hot shot

So the reviews were mostly good, and I said what the heck. It would be fun to pop off 32 rounds without switching mags. The moral here...Just buy 16 rounders & switch. This thing notoriously dips the nose of the round, so there are jams about every 5 rounds. It worked alright the first time at the range. 2 sets of rounds only 1 jam. Second time...2 sets of rounds and 5 jams. Meanwhile my 4 factory mags went through 2 sets each without a hicccup. I am keeping this because it is too late for return, but not a big fan. I may try to disassemble and work on it. The spring system seems shaky. Not worth your money. Buy the good ones!

i ordered this mag because i could, it felt a little sketchy but fed reliably and fired fine in my service 9. not very practical for really anything but it is kinda fun when you are shooting. i recommend it to anyone that wants a fun hi cap mag for shooting.

Not too bad. Not too good.

I just bought one. It jammed two times on three clips. It could be the WOLF ammo but my factory 10 rnd clips didn't jam at all with the same ammo. If you shoot slow and don't rapid fire it doesn't jam.

good stuff!!

I have one of these mags, and it functions flawlessly every time! I shot with it today in fact. Come to think of it neither one of my 9mm XD pistols has ever had any stoppages or malfunctions with any mags or ammo. I also have a 15 rd mag by promag and have fired about 700 rounds through it w no problem, the follower is starting to get a bit worn but still feeds fine. ProMag makes a fine product as far as I am concerned. A great value for the price!

no problems

Bought 2 of these mags and they are terrible. I thought they would at least make it through a couple rounds before they jammed but like clockwork they jam after the first shot every time. If I could rate them lower I would.
