High-capacity magazine. Fits standard SKS rifle. 1-piece metal magazine w/extended front lip 30 rounds of 7.62x39. Easy installation (directions below). Does not make gun capable of using AK magazines. No adapter required. Will not hold open bolt when last round is fired. Installation instructions: Remove the trigger group and existing fixed magazine, replace trigger group and fit in detachable magazine.

SKS Magazine Installation Instructions

1. MAKE SURE SKS IS UNLOADED!
2. Lock bolt open and switch the safety on.
3. Take out trigger assembly. To do so turn SKS upside down and look behind the trigger guard for a detent. With a Phillips head screwdriver insert the tip into that detent and push forward. This will release the trigger guard causing it to come out of the SKS.
4. Remove Factory 10rd. Magazine Assembly. The magazine will remove after the trigger assembly is out of the way. The magazine should just pull out easily provided the bolt is still locked back.
5. Remove the Butt Stock from Barreled Assembly. The butt stock will come out if you grab the barrel and gas tube in front of the wood stock and lift. While the SKS is upside down, with the right hand slap the Butt Stock where your cheek rest when shooting and the Barreled Assembly will separate from the Butt Stock.
6. Disassembling the SKS allows you to see how the NEW MAGAZINE mounts to your SKS.
Under the rear sight on the bottom side of your SKS is a block with a notch where the extension of the NEW MAGAZINE inserts. Once the extension is in the notch you will be able to rock the magazine into the slot in the rear of the magazine well.
7. Now put your SKS back together with your NEW MAGAZINE in place. Go shooting and function tests your SKS with all of that ammo you bought from CHEAPER THAN DIRT.

I've had this mag for a while now and like all SKS mags I've had there is always feeding issues, unlike my AK-47 which is perfect (of course). The "bluing" is really some sort of paint which had peeled off in a spot about half way down the curve before it was delivered to me as that's how I got it. The exposed steel below has since rusted, but there have been no further blemishes in the paint. As far as high cap mags go it's a 3/5, as far as SKS mags go it's a 3.8/5 imo.

First off let me start by saying this is the worst clip i ever seen. It wouldn't hold more than 22 rounds. It wouldn't chamber the rounds. Every single time I fire it jammed, and when I fired the last shot, it didn't lock the bolt back. Not to mention, I have to cock the bolt back to place the clip in. I seen other guys say they shaved sum parts, and it worked. I did that and it fit and chambered the rounds, but it still jammed. Do not buy!

This mag never jammed and no modification was needed. Loading it can be a pain sometimes but other than that it works well for me.
