I have bought six, and never had feeding issues. It fits my Ruger Mini 14 perfectly, compared to the factory 30 rounder and 20 rounders that came with the rifle.

so far i put roughly 500 rounds through 3 of these mags, and have had no problem. it did not slap right in, so i put a good movie in and kept inserting/removing each mag over and over. that gave it the wear to slap right in for me no problem. not sure about the 2x4 method.. dont want anyone to possibly damage their weapon.. i never had a feed problem, but i dont load 30 rounds. no more that 28 rounds, just a personal preference of mine which i also did in the army. also i loaded 20 rounds in each mag for a week to wear that spring slightly before my first round of shooting. 4/5 because it does take awhile to get it to slap in easily, but for the money and it not being the poly/plastic crap its a win. i will be purchasing more

Initially the magazine would not even seat into the rifle fully. Had to grind the ledge up a bit for the magazine release to latch. After that ordeal, the magazine would not feed into the rifle. Had to push down on the top, from inside the rifle with the bolt to the rear, then release the bolt to chamber a round. This would fire once, then would fail to chamber the next round, leaving the bolt stuck on top of the following round. Did not function one bit for me, would not try again to see if it was a lemon.

I bought one of these to try. With the mixed reviews I was expecting the worst. They come wrapped in plastic and sticky oil. Just take it apart and use warm water and some dish soap. They do fit snug at first. I think it is due to the pin hole in the front of the mag being a little farther down than they factory mags. I just filed a little off the locking tab on the back and little from the front feed lips. The factory mags have a little wobble these don't. Over time they will break in. I have had no malfunctions to speak of yet. Also try matching the contours of the factory mag for the follower. Just use a chainsaw file. It will aid in bullet alignment. For half the price its worth it.
