i bought 8 of these for range and qualification mags. all the mags were ran in my springfield champion. i have to say the performance of all 8 were outstanding even under rapid fire conditions. all fell free when when ejected. i was overly impressed in the product as i wasnt that optimistic at the time of purchase. the down side to them is they look like the floor plate may be weak (wouldnt suggest dropping them a lot) and the floor plate is not drilled so you wont be able to install pads. overall i would say this is a excellent product for the money as long as the end user remembers they are low end mags and should be used as such. CTD carriers a mag carrier that fits 8 of these perfectly......also great on the range.

Great Value

Bought 3 for my Springfield mil-spec and they all function as well as the factory mags. I've had no problems at all. I would highly recommend these, especially for the price.

Lovin my new mags

Got 6 of these mags, had issues with one. The lips on one mag were bent slightly inward making loading difficult. Bent them out a tad and now it works as well as the others. Tried them in my Colt XSE and my dad's SA Mil-spec. Performed perfectly in both. For the price, they are really hard to beat.

not bad

i just purchased 12 of these. they need a little file work (deburring) and bending of the top feed guides. took all of about 5 mins. for all 12. my springfield loves these mags. no jamming no problems ejecting clip. on the other hand my auto-ordanace had some problems with releasing the clips but i think its the guns fault not the clips. overall impressed.

OK~ Five for five!!

I got two of these, a while ago, zero issues, except the followers were a little rough edged, so they were not quite as smooth in loading (or in releasing closed an open slide on an empty magazine). Oh... I'll get nit-picky and say the floorplates were a little rougher finished that I'd have liked. But for the price, and them being stainless, I can smooth both followers and floorplates. Those were nit pick items. Based on that, I just ordered, and got in five more. Zero these seem to have smoother followers, show better floorplate finish too. All fit and work 100 percent. They loook ok too. I'm using them in a mix of all my 1911 type pistols - from Colt Stainless Govt, to Springfield, to Essex framed, to US Military 1911 (non-A1), to a pair of Ranger (aluminum frame) commanders, and a Springfield compact. I'd say thats a good mix to test function. No problems, no regrets. I'm gonna order five more next month, just to keep for spare.

Not too bad. I have a Springfield 1911-A1 GI model hand gun. The magazines are a little tight going in to the gun but falls free with the press of the magazine release button. I find it's just as good as the factory magazine.

Not for Springfield 1911A1s

Bought 2 of these -- they look like well built units -- look like standard 1911 clips -- they would not fit in my Springfield 1911A1 milspec -- go figure -- had to send them back.

It's all part of the Deal

I just want everyone to remember that your pistol is only as good as YOU put into it. Even the best magazines, & I 'm talking about my Chip Power Mags, need to be tuned. The bad reviews I read said nothing about the owner/operators making the slightest effort to correct the minor problems they encountered. No correcting the follower angle, no closing of the feed lips or tweeking the tab to hit the slide stop. Every 1911 mag I own (10 each) had or has to be tuned from time to time, especially after reload phases. Keep Learning, Aloha, Smittybuilt

I ordered 6 of these, and two of them could not be loaded with .45 acp ball ammo. They just wouldnt go down into the mag. The other 4 fed fine, but they wont eject and drop free from the gun, and they dont hold the slide open. They did feed fine, however. You get what you pay for.

I bought two of these for my springfield 1911 and they both fed and fit perfectly. I didnt notice a difference between these and the factory issue clips. A great buy.
