Manufacturer: TAPCO MAG0930B
Item: MAG-090
Extremely reliable and durable AR-15 magazine at a great price.
Collecting input from military, law enforcement, and civilian shooters, TAPCO has designed a magazine that can be depended on from a trip to the firing range to deployment overseas.
Molded of reinforced composite with aggressive horizontal ridges that provide increased gripping surface for insertion and extraction of the magazine in wet or muddy conditions. This also helps to eliminate feed lip separation.
The anti tilt follower has been designed to allow more dirt and grime to pass than any other magazine on the market. This allows the magazine to keep feeding ammo, despite loose dirt or sand that may have entered the magazine.
The spring is made using a 1770 Stainless steel wire, featuring a unique shape for smoother, quieter loading through all 30 rounds. It also reduces overall stress on the magazine body, preventing spine cracks.
30 Round capacity. Fits AR15, M4, and M16. Black
Made in the U.S.A. with a lifetime warranty from TAPCO. For Warranty questions please contact:

I bought four of these mags and they were delivered as FAST as usual from CTD. I tried all four mags in my DPMS AP4 Carbine, and there were NO cycling issues through 120 rounds. Not bad considering I was also using the Russian ammo (also from CTD). One other thing to mention is that mags were VERY snug, and were tough to release but I don't have another brand of rifle to compare. Otherwise, they appear solid and performed exceptionally. Oh and I'm buying 4 more.

Great Mags work very well in my Double Star AR-15. Durable, at first the spring is very tight, but after a few mags run through it, works just fine. Cycles through my AR great. I have intentually droped them and threw them on the floor, fully loaded, and the mag held up and the ammo never fell out. Very good product for the price. Will be back for more.
Great

I purchased 3 for range use and put 60 rounds through each. I had no jams or misfeeds. A great price. They are a little tight in the mag well but not hard to fix.

I bought 1 of these to test out before I (possibly) buy more of them. First off, I like the look and style the black mag has on my AR. Second, I like the price. With that being said I felt good when I went to the range to test it out. My only other mag to test against it was my Bushmaster mag that came w/the gun. The Bushmaster performed flawlessly through 100 rounds.....the Tapco did not! It was hard to get more bullets in the mag once you get past 20rds so that's all I could do at a time. Maybe the spring needed to be worked a little bit??? Out of 100rds through it I had 2 feed failures. In a row! I used the same Remington ammo the whole time. Take it for what you will, I prefer to spend the extra money and get the MagPul mags. Those work flawlessly!
Best mags I have ever used!

I've shaken them. I've had them in my gear and jumped up and down. I've even thrown them across the yard, and not a round dropped (I heard they tended to drop rounds, so that's the first thing I tested). Slid into the mag well with less effort than my MILITARY ISSUE mags. I took them to the range this past weekend, and ran at least 60 rounds through all 6 of them. I really don't forsee a problem. I'm buying several more!

Hard to fit in the gun

These seem like heavy duty magazines, but when I load 30 in there, it's EXTREMELY difficult to install it in the magwell. I have a couple Magpul (PMag 30rd) magazines, and those clip in and out with no problems. I'll have to junk these Tapco magazines for some Magpuls. Granted, there's less slack with the Tapco, and from what I read online some people have to file theirs down to get them to fit smoothly.

I ran 4 clips worth of Lake City 5.56 ammo through this and it performed flawlessly. I would recommend it.

Bought 4 of these plastic things and they are laughable. Bullets jam or fail to feed. Used in DPMS and Armalite rifles...problems in both!!! They make great paper weights for the bench...so your targets won't blow away!!! I'll never use ANY mags made from plastic again...regardless of BRAND.
I will stick with aluminum or steel MIL-SPEC,military contract green follower 30 rounders...never,ever a problem with those.
Don't waste your money!

Great mags especially for the price. They got a nice grip to them and drop free from every gun I put them in. Follower is very smooth... I've had a few loaded for a few weeks now and none of the shells are "popping out." Feeds really smooth and is very quiet, not rattling... It's a great mag, I have a CAA Polymer Mag and the new CAA countdown mag too. It's just like them but has better grips and looks IMO. And considering the price, it's more nice.
Pretty decent

I bought three of these mags and took them out to the range yesterday. Twice I had a small problem with them. The problem was when I initially put the mag in the ar-15 with the bolt locked to the rear then when I released the bolt forward a round should have automatically feed. Twice the mag didn't feed, so I had to charge the ar-15 again until a round would feed from the mag. after that, no problems with the mags as far as feeding while firing or jams.

These "LOOK" like Magpuls so everyone thinks they're good. I bought 4 of them because Magpuls were hard to get at the time. These things were humorous. I loaded them up and put them in my chest rig for a bunch of training. The rounds were flowing out of the magazines like water from a fountain with no manipulation what so ever. Want polymer that works? Buy Magpuls, not Tapco. Terrible production. They're hard as a rock but are terrible at keeping rounds.
very nice

Was out in Utah's west desert shooting water melons and all. Cycled through a bunch of 55 gr FMJ with no issues what so ever. I then wanted to try out some 50 gr hollow points. The first round cycled, and the second one mis fed and jammed the projectile down into the brass case. Cleared it, chucked the damaged round and tried again. First round went out, and another mis feed. Tried a mil spec mag and pmag, no issues.

I got one of these from CTD because of the price. I was skeptical because I never heard of Tapco. I figured it was some cheap Chinese Magpul imitation. Well I was wrong it is not. When it arrived it clearly had Made in USA molded into it and has a very solid feel to it. Its slightly heavier than the flimsy steel mags ~1oz. I immediately slid it into my RRA LAR15. It locks in good and drops right out on release. Off to the range to test. it. I have some Wolf military classic steel case ammo that can feed funny in cheap steel mags. Perfect to test this mag with. Ran 60 rounds of Wolf and 30 of Georgia Arms 55 grain brass. Not one problem. This mag feeds very well in my Rock River Arms Ar15 even with the steel case ammo. I would never buy another steel mag as long as this is available. Only complaint is no dust cap like the Magpul and no window to see the ammo. But those are luxury items anyways. As far as function, construction quality, and aesthetics I rate this product 5 bullets.
pleasant surprise

Bought two for trial basis. Immediately tried fit in two AR's, and both fit well and ejected well. Followers so far have displayed no tendency to tilt. Side walls were strong and resist pressure well. Well having fired with them only once each (they actually hold 30 rounds as advertised), I suspect the next time they will perform as well as the first. If so, I'll get a few more.
Good quality Mag

This mag looks sleek and is great for the price, My only complaint is that it fits a little snug in the magazine well of my Olympic Arms AR-15. I'm used to mags just dropping out when released, and since this one fits a little tight some additional effort is required to pull it out. In a tactical situation this may be a deal breaker but for my use it’s not a huge problem. Again, it’s a great, sturdy mag and it’s not too expensive at all. I’ll be buying more in the future.
Good Job Tapco

I just bought 2 of these. I knew when I was playing with the mags at home they would work. The follower is really smooth and presents the rounds at a good attitude. After shooting with this mag, I would say that these mags function 110%, but we all know it's only possible for a mag to function at 100% and these do in my AR. These will be very good competition for Magpul's plastic magazine.
