Don't work as is, 07/02/2008 |
| Reviewer: Washburnizer |
| I ordered two of these and neither one will fit in the mag well of my S&W M&P 15. The design looks crude. I have read other reviews where some people shaved them down, but I am sending these things back. Why pay good money for something that does not do what it is supposed to do.
Don't waste your money on these things. Mine are already on their way back for an exchange for a couple of the 30 rounders. |
2 clips, 06/27/2008 |
| Reviewer: richy2kool |
| i just got 2 of the clips and they work really well...other then the fact they are really really tight going in the gun... and there a bitch to get out... im going to shave them down alittle and see if that will help... i wont mind getting more if i can get these to work |
Great item, 04/01/2008 |

| Got a M4 A2.. no problem at all.. double tap, smooth action, holds 38, pumped 76, no jam, nice item... |
Great for my Bushmaster, 03/29/2008 |
| Reviewer: evolucid |
| Gotta love the price! I haven't had one problem with this mag on my Bushmaster XM-15, but I can only get 38 rounds into it. Still a great buy and looks pretty mean in my black rifle. |
ok for price, 03/21/2008 |
| Reviewer: ryan |
| ordered 2 of these some time ago. 1 works good. other fits into gun a kinda tight. extra effort is needed to make sure its clipped all the way in. both dont seem to load really well if i put all 40 rounds in but work ok if i put like 37 or 38 in. but for 13 bucks, they are about what i figured. |
good mag, 03/04/2008 |
| Reviewer: Danno |
| I bought one of these, cause I thought it would be cool to have 40 rounds in one mag, works great for me in my bushmaster M4, never had a jam once with it, will buy more later. |
Have noticed, 03/02/2008 |
| Reviewer: Felix9 |
| I purchased 12 of these mags, loaded them up and worked the action to see how it would feed. It has some issues with my dad's Eagle arms AR's but seemed to work alright in booth my olympic arms AR's.
Did have a jam when workin the action with the loaded mags every 5 or 6th round. But... My dad noticed the way I loaded the mags was causing them to bunch up in the action.
( Be sure when you load the mag, that the tip of the rounds always angle slightly upward)
This will seat the rouds right and will allow it to feed correctly. since it's such a long winded mag it has to be loaded proporley. If they are loaded any other way, they tend to want to push out more than one round causing it to jam.
Have yet to test fire in the field but hope this input helps. plan to buy more to fill my tac vest. Need to get more in stock Cheaper than Dirt!
could only cram 38 rounds on avarge in the mags. |
double feeding nightmare, 02/15/2008 |
| Reviewer: arma lite mike |
| Purchased only one to test drive and thank goodness for that. Worst Mag I have ever used. They go double feed, double feed, NO FEED. Avoid at all cost |
It's meant for AR-15, Not Kel-Tecs , 02/13/2008 |
| Reviewer: Shooter |
| It's noteworthy that a most of the people giving this mag a low rating are those who bought it for cheap Kel-Tec rifles and pistols, not higher quality AR-15's. |
Colt design, 02/02/2008 |
| Reviewer: Jax |
| These are great mags but the release is not flat and locks better than other AR mags but may not fit some guns .. Easy fix if one is handy..
Add a magpul base or cup and they are good to go..Holds 38 rounds easy.. |
do not buy 40rd mag for PLR-16, 01/24/2008 |
| Reviewer: Travis |
| bought this mag for the PLR-16. you shoot one round and the clip falls out. just doesn't fit very well. |
Only mag that makes Bushmaster jam, 12/26/2007 |
| Reviewer: Ted - Michigan |
| These mags are probably the worst I've used in my Bushmaster. I bought 2. The first one won't old the bolt to the rear and it jamms my rifle about every 6th shot. The second jams about every 10th shot. I definately wouldn't recommend these to anyone. |
Just won't fit, 12/13/2007 |
| Reviewer: Gerald |
| Bought four of these mags for my PLR 16. Hate to say it but none of them fit. Will be enchanging them. |
dissapointed with my two 40 round mags, 12/06/2007 |
| Reviewer: Kevin-usmc |
| I just ordered two of these 40 round mags and Iv'e never been so happy to see the fed-ex guy,Then I immediately ran in and proceeded to load them up and try (note the word try) to insert them into my Kel-Tec su-16 to no luck ,Several of my friends have Kel-tec su-16's and plr-16 kel tec pistols that all take them and every other type of ar-15 and m-16 type mag with no problem. But they would not even lock into mine much less even remotley try and stay without just falling straight down and the rounds didnt really want to stay in very well either at least not the one's on the very top,So then I figured I'd try them out in my Olympic arms ar-15 and it didnt fit in there as well so as a last result I had my step dad bring his brand new Smith and wesson M@P AR15 style and low and behold no fit there either. My buddy that I served with in afghanistan has a new stag arms ar-15 and he's going to try them because he has 3 DPMS 45 round mags that work fine in his gun and in all of mine.I guess I have to return them tmw afternoon.Maybe mine were just lemmons. |
Not a Problem in my DPMS, 11/25/2007 |
| Reviewer: Wayne Vaughan |
| I have bought four of these mags & they have functioned flawless in my DPMS AR. Whether slow shooting or as fast as I can pull the trigger, the worked great & look forward to purchasing more.. =) |
needs some custom smithing, 10/14/2007 |
| Reviewer: Space Coast Larry |
| as a cheaper, more reliable alternative to C-MAG, three mags clamped with 35 rounds apiece, 105 rounds total. replaced awful crude nylon followers with MagPul's teflon followers. had to grind front portion of lip to get rounds to slide forward. you get what you pay for, but nothing beats a little sweat equity/elbow grease to get "perfect." I gave 3 bullets rating for this product but it can be a 5 when i'm done |

39 Round mags!, 08/15/2007 |
| Reviewer: Falcon_01 |
| Just got enough ammo to fill the three I ordered- but wait THEY ARE ONLY 39 round mags. Maybe that's why they are such a GREAT deal! So I'm short a round... beats the heck out of using my lame 10 round factory mag anyway!
Thanks CTD! |
GOOD MAG FOR THE MONEY, 08/12/2007 |
| Reviewer: WADE E. |
| PURCHASED ONE OF THESES MAGS AND TOOK IT TO THE RANGE TO TRY OUT. FEED PERFECTLY FINE IN MY STAG ARMS AR-15 WITH NO JAMS OR HANG UPS. AFTER THAT I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER WHICH WORKED JUST AS FINE AS THE FIRST. ONE THING I DID FIND OUT WAS THAT IN BOTH OF THE MAGS I BOUGHT, ONLY 39 ROUND WILL FIT IN THE MAG, NOT 40. TO ME ITS NOT A BIG DEAL, JUST THOUGHT I WOULD LET FUTURE PURCHASERS KNOW. |

| Reviewer: uiuc |
| Bought two of these. One didnt fit into my colt AR no matter how much I tried. The other one fit and functioned fine but had a dent in it. I decided to send both of them back and spend a little more money for better mil-spec mags. |
No complaints here!, 07/04/2007 |

| Wasn't sure what to expect considering the price was fairly cheap, but these are actually really decent mags. Have had zero issues with them in my DPMS. I plan to buy a few more. |

Awesome Mag!, 06/17/2007 |
| Reviewer: Ross |
| This is a great mag for the price. I bought this mag for my Kel-tec PLR 16 and it works great in it. It fits very well in the pistol and feeds great also. I recommend this mag to anyone who owns a PLR 16. Mag also works very well in Olympic Arms AR-15. One great mag for the price! |

EXCELLENT, 06/06/2007 |
| Reviewer: just me |
| This mag is GREAT! Solid and reliable, never had a jam after shooting 500 + rnds with 2 of these. Half the price and 2x the quality of the 20 rnder I bought at the local gun shop. I am buying 2 more. |
Hard to get out, 06/02/2007 |
| Reviewer: BILLHILLY |
| This is definitely a nice mag. I bought one and it feeds great. I want to buy some more but this thing is extremely difficult to release. I have to turn the gun upside down, press down on the rifle and pull up and rock the mag back and forth to get it out of the mag well. I use it in a Bushmaster AR-15 M4A2, just wondered if anyone else has that problem or if it just may be the mag. Other than that it is great, Just not practical due to the difficulty of the mag release. |

Just to answer an unasked question for the previou, 03/19/2007 |
| Reviewer: Just a civilian |
| That "sticky coating" is most-likely cosmoline, a sort of protectant/ rust inhibitor. If you buy anymore mags (or anything thats covered in it) as long as its metal, just get a very good solvent and clean the heck out of it. As to the "paint" I have no clue on that |
Objective review, 03/03/2007 |
| Reviewer: Crashkid |
| I purchased 5 of these magazines in 2005.
They arrived with an ugly finish (paint?), and a strange sticky coating.
While the sticky coating has worn off, the ugly, shiny finish remains. These magazines are black, and will be forever.
One magazine arrived with a small dent, and I ran it though its paces before I decided to keep it.
My other magazines have fed thousands of rounds in several different rifles, with no malfunction. |
