 ak-47 mag, 05/05/2008
Reviewer: ammo junkie
great mags!!! bought 2 fro my milled receiver ak and they loaded with no problem. using steel cased wolf ammo made no difference from the brass cased ammo. rattling was gone as with the steel mags. can fill to 30 and will not jam up or double feed.

I bought two of these magazines from the Cross Roads of the West gun show. I doubted how well they would work with my Yugo , because these underfolders seem to be really particular. These mags performed flawless today!!! I blew off over 600 rounds out of them...... no jams, no problems. To top it off they stay cooler here in the hot Arizona afternoons, which means I don't burn my hand picking up a mag that has been laying out on the hood of my car for a half an hour. I have only one thing that I wish Pro Mag would do to improve this product...... Make the follower Yugo style so it holds open the bolt when empty. In an situation where my life is on the line I personally would like to know when I am out of ammo. I also have found a simular product from www.tapco.com and they have the polymer mag clear... but in smoke. Which helps from being spotted. Overall these mags are awesome!!! I plan to stock up on these before a ban on assault weapons gets passed through.
 quality AK mags!, 04/26/2008
Reviewer: saint
i bought two of these magazines a month ago and was skeptical about the quality to price ratio. i couldn't have been more pleased! these mags fit and function great in my Romanian AK. they are light and built to last. i've already ordered more. not sure how they'll work in other AK's but if you have a Romanian i highly suggest them, they're much better than humping the metal originals and i'm sure they'll last longer too.
 Great mags, 04/21/2008
Reviewer: Phil
I bought four of these for my Romanian AK. They didn't fit right out of the package but with some sandpaper and shaving with a knife they fit perfect, better than my steel mags. I'm defiantly buying more of these.
Polymer Plastic, BUT VERY STRONG!, 04/18/2008
Reviewer: The Gun Collector...
One of the nice things about polymer is it won't dent or bend! Just as strong as steal but won't rust and are lighter! Another GREAT BUY FROM CHEAPER THAN DIRT! Man what will they come up with next! The Gun Collector...
 Great mag Great price, 04/04/2008
Reviewer: Zombie Blaster
I've only put about 800 rounds through this mag but it has performed flawlessly in my stamped Romanian AK. I plan to buy several more of these soon.
 Wow, 03/21/2008
Reviewer: mojoron
Ordered on 3/20 received 3/21! Mags required a little dremel work to fit my WSAR but after that they fit like a glove with no wobble. These will definitely change your mind about metal mags.
 Bought more!, 03/01/2008
Reviewer: Patrick Henry
Bought four more of these mags for my Wasar 10 and once again they all worked perfect. I am very pleased. By the way. One on my of my 90 pound plus German Shepherds knocked one off of my workbench and onto my concrete basement floor and lo and behold it Didn't break and it still works perfect. Post Script: Never forget that Thomas Jefferson referred to democracy as teranny of the masses. LONG LIVE OUR REPUBLIC!
 Just needs some paper, 01/20/2008
Reviewer: erok
These mags work great in my wasr-10. No jambs no feed probs. I also worked on mine to assure they fit with some sand paper. Now they pop in and out real smooth. And guess what no damn rattling! Dont be a sissy and dont be afraid to work on em they are better in the long run, no rust.

I purchased one of these mags to give it a shot. i fired 200 rounds through this same mag and did not have a single problem. magazine did not even wear at all! im going to order 5 more of these. they are inexpensive but durable.i have a romanian wasr10. this mag fit just like any other and shakes side to side a bit but thats expected with a wasr10.great mag!
 Follow up!, 12/31/2007
Reviewer: Patrick Henry
As a follow up note to my previous review I would like to mention that the stamped AK47 receiver flat steel and shaped by bending it into position and if some slacker employee in a hurry to go home does not bend the flat properly it can effect your rifles quality "bigtime". Maybe it's your rifle that has the problem not the mags. Liberty or Death
 Excellent Product, 12/31/2007
Reviewer: Patrick Henry
Bought one of the ProMag 30 rounders for my Romanian WASAR 10 due to the fact that the steel mags that came with the gun were such a loose fit that they made it rattle like the old rust bucket 1975 Chevy Nova I owned when I was in my twenties. The ProMag has a very good fit and would not even make a low knocking sound while in the rifle unless it was shaken violently and it performed flawlessly while putting about 150 rounds through it. Unless something happens in the future to change my opinion about this product I have to give this particular unit a rating of ***** and would reccomend it to anyone who drives on bumby roads with AK in hand. Ha ha! Never dropped one to see how well it would stand up to the impact. Anything can break if its abused and thats a good reason to own more then one unit of anything, especially mags and guns since your life may ond day depend on them. I guess I don't make a habbit of dropping my guns to stress test them either. Anyway, I plan on buying myself three more of these for my birthday this January. Liberty or Death
 Reliable but stiff fit, 12/12/2007
Reviewer: Enthusiast
Completely reliable in my MAK 90. The fit is tight, but there's enough polymer material in this mag that I'm not afraid of it breaking even when I slam the magazine into the mag well. Better than the steel mags in my book, and I'd give those 5 stars too.
WOrks great with Romanian STG2000C, 11/07/2007
Reviewer: Engineer2001
I bought a dozen of these to go with my Romanian STG-2000C (AK made to look like a Weiger rifle). They all work flawlessly and look great! I've shot with them MANY times in the 6 months since I got the rifle, and I have not had a single jam or misfeed. The rifle came with a smoked translucent version of this mag, and I don't like its looks, even though it works the same. These black ones are nice, and I plan to buy more soon.
definately not for a saiga, 09/10/2007
Reviewer: .
won't fit a saiga without shaving the back tip, also forward catch wears down quickly. stick with steel mags.
 Romanian AK, 08/27/2007
Reviewer: wastedimage
This mag constantly jams in my Romanian ak. Literally every single round.
 50/50 Chance, 08/01/2007
Reviewer: Matt
I purchased 2 of these and read the review before hand so I knew what to expect. 1 was very hard to load into my AK and the other was not. After shaving down the one that was hard to load it worked like a charm. No misfires or jamming problem at all.
 Avoid if you have a GP-WASR10, 07/27/2007
Reviewer: L. Marshall
Ordered 4 of these for my Century Arms GP-WASR10 (Romy Underfolder). Not a single one of them even fit into the receiver. My steel mags fit and feed flawlessly, but these mags are completely useless to me. I have another Romak on the way. If they don't work in that, they'll be getting returned.
 good stuff, 07/10/2007
Reviewer: Mike
I have replaced my steel magazines with the promags and have had nothing but success with them. I'm using them in my Romy WASR10. I'm sure there are some bad ones in the bunch but I have not had any problems yet.
 Not so great, 06/18/2007
Reviewer: Ire
Bought these same mags, though not from here. Promag, look exactly the same. In my Century Arms AK they feed terribly (stamped reciever). I think the problem is that they don't sit high enough in the magazine well- the rifle will fire one round, cycle, and then the tip of the bullet will jamb against metal 1/16" below the chamber. Trying to chamber a new round often results in a faulty extraction and double feed, and I even had the round get up on top of the gas piston once. They also wobble back and forth a ton (left and right, not forward and back). The problem is not with the AK, which feeds excellently with these other polymer Bulgarian mags. I have some other polymer mags that work great, fortunately I only bought two of these.I'm considering smoothing out the lower portion of the chamber to help with feeding.
pleased and will call again, 03/28/2007
Reviewer: ak-is-great-4u-jjc-da-shite
ok, where to begin... like one of the other users mentioned, with these magazines, with the outer being made of polymer...and lined with steel/metal of some sort....depending on how the female end on your rifle is cut, you might have to work it some....to grind off some of the plastic to make it fit nicely.... one of the nice things about these mags, is the fact that once you have them fit to your rifle...they do not tend to "rattle" the same way that some mag would if it was made of metal...which is good if your trying to be stealthy.... overall, a great product....and when it comes to buying mags, use your head...buy something new, even if its in used, but good condition....springs are only springy for so long, and you cant evaluate exactly how much wear and tear has been done to a used mag...
 great mags!, 02/19/2007
Reviewer: Stone
I have eight of these mags, they work great. Their light and fit into my vest easily the tripple AK/M16 MOLLE pouches hold 2 in each pocket. My pre-ban WASR-10 has never jammed with these mags. A little fitting was required, inserting and re inserting the mags carved two slits in the back ot the mag, awter that they fit great I recommend these to anyone, but the East German mags MAG020 are the best ever! Until you know how your rifle will load the mag, just get one.
 Poor Performer, 02/10/2007
Reviewer: mtnchild
I purchased two of the ProMag 30 Rd. magazine’s and became disappointed the very first time I tried to use them. After feeding only 10 rounds into the clips they started to bind. Loading them was so tedious that I stopped after only 20 rounds. Both ProMag clips held the rounds at such a poor angle that chambering the first round was a chore. The rounds also jammed after 3 or 4 shots. Thinking this was the fault of a dirty gun I thoroughly cleaned and oiled it before trying again. The same problems occurred. I then tried steel, vinyl coated, and brass cased ammunition. None of these improved the poor performance of the ProMag. Finally I resorted back to my old steel USA 30 rd. clip. Unlike the ProMag, my old clip loaded all 30 rounds easily and the gun cycled through every round without a single jam. If you need a reliable 30 round magazine go with a USA steel magazine. Bottom line, the ProMag may look good hanging out of the bottom of the gun, but that's about all it does.
 very good, 02/02/2007
Reviewer: andy
Very well made tough mags. Much better than the used metal mags and feeds extremely well. I have yet to have any fuction problems with these and would recommend that anyone who wants a real top quality ak47 mag get one. Only problem is that they are harder to insert than the metal but this can easily be solved by pushing hard when you insert the lip and continue pressure while clicking in. Other than that they are 10 times better than surplus metal.
 Ok..., 01/20/2007
Reviewer: Locked&loaded
The mags feel really good, but you have to be really exact when inserting it into the receiver, otherwise it will go in crooked and jamb. Looks sweet though.
