| I remember about four years ago this model was $200 and higher. Streamlight was pretty much robbing the customer. There was no competition other than Surefire's Nitrolon which wasn't popular outside of SWAT. Plus these items are typically purchased by the government for LE and Military use so no one was pinching except for the guys who were trying to use their equipment allowance to buy none work related items.
Anyway... The M3 is an obsolete model in the field of LE & Military. So the price is down. Which makes it affordable for the sportsman and whoever. For casual use I would recomend a G2 in a FAB or CAA mount but since the price on the M3 is more reasonable these days.. it's really a matter of preference. Plus the M3 unit will withstand more shock than the G2 Hand-light. |

| I have owned this light for several years without every a problem. It was the first real successful one marketed. It fits my 229, XD40, and P95 good and tight. It is a much needed tool for any serious home defense pistol. Better to have one of these and know what you are aiming at. It will easily light up an entire small room. While I have one of the newer lights(LED's) that last longer. This one is tried and proven itself. You can spend more, but if your not using this for more than home protection you don't need one that will run 3 hours. Buy this one and you will not be disapointed!! |
