| If you need replacement bulbs for the Z5 light, the SureFire led bulb assembly item#LIGHT-311 works great. |
Useful light, within capabilities, 02/16/2008 |
| Reviewer: Chuck A. Fragg |
| I was given one of these little lights about 2 years ago, and I am quite satisfied with it. It does what it's supposed to do: shine light when & where needed. It's got a better beam than the Insight on my SA Operator. However, it's not quite as robust, so I didn't mount it on the handgun - I felt the light was not sturdy enough to withstand the higher recoil impulse. It sits atop my personal 11.5" M16 and has survived a tour and half, and maybe 15,000+ rounds, including some extreme practice sessions. Oddly enough, it hasn't gotten knocked around too bad, so I can't attest to it being dropped or shot. It doesn't eat batteries that bad either. This light was a replacement for a Surefire M6 in one of those picatinny mounts - that light ate a set of batteries about every 20 minutes! Back home, I bought one for each of my other AR's/M16's, too. New Streamlight LED is a better light, though, especially for handguns. |
Buyers Beware!, 02/09/2008 |

| Buyers beware! I thought I got a great deal on this light, as I purchased it for 60.00 from a gunstore a couple years ago. However, after owning the light for about 10 months, and hardly ever using it, I discovered why it was so cheap! During routine use, the light got so hot that it melted the plastic cover! The light itself still works, however the cover is no longer clear... but a dull "white" color. |
Was a better deal, 09/03/2007 |

| I bought this light a few months ago when the price was about $40. It was an incredible deal at that time and I was very happy with it.
I use it on an XD45 and M&P 40 and it has been great.
Switch is a little flimsy, but it hasn't failed.
I've heard that another importer bought the rights to this light and that is why the price has doubled. CTD is still the cheapest I've been able to find these, but with the Surefire only $30 more, I think I'll buy one of those now. |

| Had one on a XD40 Service and switch worked about half the time. Foir $25 more, you can get a Streamlight TLR1, much better quality for the $$. |

| I bought one of these from CTD last year. When I shot my gun with it attached, it instantly stopped working. CTD was cool about the whole thing though. |

| though i do not own a non-name brand led wave, i did find a streamlight TLR for $90 and TLR 2, which has the laser, for $234 on sportsmans guide.com under streamlight. it puts out 80 lumens and is machined from aluminum. check it out. i have 3 TLR 1s and 1 TLR 2 and they are amazing for the price. these are name brand. I tell my students to only buy surefire or streamlight. everything thing else fails or will fail. streamlight and surefire has life time warrenty and you can go through them, not the middle man. |
also junk, 04/14/2007 |

Z5 Tactical Wave Light , 03/07/2007 |
| Reviewer: Steve |
| I have one of these little babies clamped on a G17/19, for several months of shooting and is remarkably sturdy for the price. Still works just as advertised.
Only real complaint so far is that the dimensions are a little bigger than the Surefire. It is a few mm longer, and a hair wider. Overall its made the perfect beater gun for training, since it doesn't cost as much to replace when I drop it too many times on the pavement. |
great item, 02/20/2007 |

| this thing is great. I have had it for about a year on my glock and it works perfectly and it is super bright! |
Outstanding Light, 01/18/2007 |
| Reviewer: Sarge |
| I am very happy with this light system. It is the most inexspensive weapons light out there, but you wouldn't know it by the quality fit and finish. The Ledwave is lightweight and adds negligible weight to the front of your pistol. It also comes with an extra rocker switch and Picatinny rail lock bar. The light has a crisp, pre-focused beam, with no "hot" spots or shadows. Ombu puts other lights to shame, especially at two to three times the price as this fine offering. You can't go wrong with this purchase. |
Kick ass light, 11/03/2006 |
| Reviewer: prettymouth |
| this light kicks ass! I bought this instead of the much more expensive name brand light, and it is the same damn thing!!! The light is super bright, and it had a very snug fit on my Glock 19. Thanks for the great product offering CTD. |
