Useful light, within capabilities

I was given one of these little lights about 2 years ago, and I am quite satisfied with it. It does what it's supposed to do: shine light when & where needed. It's got a better beam than the Insight on my SA Operator. However, it's not quite as robust, so I didn't mount it on the handgun - I felt the light was not sturdy enough to withstand the higher recoil impulse. It sits atop my personal 11.5" M16 and has survived a tour and half, and maybe 15,000+ rounds, including some extreme practice sessions. Oddly enough, it hasn't gotten knocked around too bad, so I can't attest to it being dropped or shot. It doesn't eat batteries that bad either. This light was a replacement for a Surefire M6 in one of those picatinny mounts - that light ate a set of batteries about every 20 minutes! Back home, I bought one for each of my other AR's/M16's, too. New Streamlight LED is a better light, though, especially for handguns.
