Does not fit!

Bought this for my home defense tactical Remington 870. I have the 6/1 mag extension. The bracket that came with it will not mount because of the swivel bolt for the sling. If I could remove this it would fit. If I were to drill it out I would not be able to use a shoulder sling with this weapon. Otherwise seeems like a good light for the money, will have to modify of find another mounting bracket.
Nice!

Received the tac light and attached it to my mossberg 500. I shot 20 deer slugs threw it and it held strong. Solid construction and very bright.I recommend this product over the more expensive ones any day.
Best for the money

I was incredibly impressed by this tac-light. I was actually considering buying a $300 Surefire (amazing lights) but went with this, figuring the price can't hurt if it's not that great. I am ordering two more now. One of the most solid, best focused lights I've seen for under $300. Fits beautifully on my Remington 870 Tactical and the velcro strip and pressure switch fit right on the forend very conveniently. This is absolutely a MUST have for the home defense shotgun or any night-time fire situation.
Great TacLight for the $

Great TacLight (esp. for shotguns) at an outstanding price! I actually bought two, one for my brother's personal Winchester 1300 Marine Commando 12-ga (uses the larger adaptor included) and one for my CQB Mossberg 500 12-ga (works with the smaller adaptor) which I carry on-duty. I have deployed it about a dozen or so times since adding the TacStar several months ago, and it has never failed. The only reason I can't give it a perfect score of 5 is due to the dimensions of the pressure pad/switch, which cannot be placed perfectly on a front vertical grip; but no gripes otherwise.
Dad loved it.

Got this thing as an early Christmas present for my father. I gotta say, this is one of the best quality tactical lights I have seen.
Great Light (So far)

Our Police Dept. purchased some of these tactical light systems for our entry team ... I was very impressed with its performance. The lights are mounted on the Smith&Wesson M & P assault rifle. Last week we trained put about 1000 rounds through the weapon my concern was would the housing stand the shock of the rifle and blow bulbs. So far So good.
Great light!

This light mounts solid... It is brighter than I expected, which is a good thing. I haven't had the heating issues a few of the others have suggested, nor has it had any other issues. Works great!

I just got this for my Mossberg 590 and it fits and works great. I didn't have the problem with the switch heating up as others did, but I did notice if you don't put enough pressure on the switch the light dims. The only downside to this is it is a pain to hold it together while you are mounting it to your gun. Fits very solid and is extremely bright and has a well focused beam.
Good Light

I have this light on my Sig 556 and have the same MFG pressure pad switch. I love it, a very bright light that shoots a focused beam at night time further than I need. I have owned several brands of these type lights and they all get hot on the lense area of the flashlight. However, I have had no problems with the pressure pad getting hot. The button switch does better for hand held use than mounted I have found.
I use it only for home defense and have a LED I use in the field just because it gets 3 times the run time. But this one will blind and ID anyone within 15 yards on in a room and that what I have it for.
bright if works

Great Light - Poor Switch

I mounted this on an AR-15 three weeks ago - great light, but the switch get VERY hot after about 10 seconds of use. I think this is suppose to be an on-off pressure switch, but the light gets brighter the harder you press the switch. You have to wear a glove to use it. I contacted TacStar who told me they were willing to exchange it, but only after I returned mine. I was going to buy another switch and have a spare, but they cost $30. And I just read a review from another buyer who has the same heat problem with this system, so I don't want to buy a spare switch if I am going to have the same problem. If I knew I was going to have problems like this, I would have spent the additional money and bought a Streamlight system.
Great Weapon Light!

This light was more than I wanted to spend, but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for! Very high quality manufacturing with one of the brightest beams I have ever seen. I attached this to my Remington 870 12 gauge and was amazed at what a perfect bright spot light this places in the shooting field. Was easy to mount. Probably the best light for the money out there.
