I installed this light system on my 870 less than 10 "low recoil" 00bucks later the light would turn itself off. I replaced the blown bulb and tried it again with no change in the result. needless to say its on my kids airsoft gun now. Some words to live by "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR SO DONT BE CHEAP" I replaced it with a surefire for not very much more than this cost and love it. spend the extra 20 bucks and get the surefire you will not regret it. This light sucks. Had it two years, it started to flicker and act up. You turn it up and it turns itself off. I had Tacstar factory repair it. They rebuilt it and the same stuff happens. I gave it away. Go with the Mako mount and a Surefire g2. Much better results.

Well I thought this would be a great buy. I was really impressed for the first few days. It fit great on my Mossberg 590 and looked awesome. Today, about a week after I got the light, I went to the trap range. After shooting only 50 rounds through the gun, I noticed the light didn't work any more. I don't know what the problem is. The battery, pressure switch, bulb, who knows. I guess I'll have to go out and get a new battery to start with. If thats not the issue, its gettin' sent right back.

At the time the price for this seemed better than the enormous cost for a surefire, but now in late 2009 I realized there are much better cheaper high lumen LED flashlights out there. This light I have had for 1 year failed me big time. The pressure switch got really hot to the point that you have to take your hand off it, and the other toggle switch failed before I resorted to the pressure switch, this is a bunch of crap. The box doesn't come with a warranty statement on the included paperwork.

Bought this for my home defense tactical Remington 870. I have the 6/1 mag extension. The bracket that came with it will not mount because of the swivel bolt for the sling. If I could remove this it would fit. If I were to drill it out I would not be able to use a shoulder sling with this weapon. Otherwise seeems like a good light for the money, will have to modify of find another mounting bracket.
