These are great little ammo cans. I just ordered 2 more to add to the one I just received! I was able to shove 42 boxes of Tula 762x39 ammo into it! Not too shabby! I must say I was skeptical, but I really like them. 5 Bullets!!!!!

I really like this case. I have to agree that its pretty tough to open and close, but besides that its great. I have some metal ammo cans that have the trays in them but I'm going to go with these from now on. It is made really heavy duty and has lots of room.

Yes, the box is very solid, better than I expected for a plastic .50 can. It's industrial-grade plastic, not some flimsy crap. The organizer trays allow you to pull out individual dividers to fit things better. That said ... Yes, the hinges are very hard to open/close, more than on a traditional surplus metal can. Deduct 1 star (1/2 a star if I could.) Worse, the trays stack right on top of each other, so anything a bit oversize in them will mess up the stackability of them. And if they don't stack perfectly, the box will not close. This makes the dividers nearly useless for anything bigger than a bullet or brush. I have a lot of spare parts still in their original baggies (mainly because the packaging tells you what it is), and those won't fit in the trays. Not as handy as I'd hoped.

Everything about this setup is great except opening/closing the box is difficult. The latches are a poor fit and you really have to bash them to close the box up.

I ordered two of these and both had defective rubber o-ring gaskets for the lids. Each had a split which lets water and air in and out, and the design of the box is such that it looks like there is barely any sealing at the rear corners of the box. The lid gasket appears to be a round ring that is stretched to fit in a rectangular recess on the lid. That caused the rubber ring to be stretched very tight in the corners and not leave enough material to seal against the bottom of the box. Too bad, a very nice box other than this.
