Precision machined from aircraft grade aluminum with a hard anodized finish for rough use in any conditions. Features precise windage and elevation adjustments that get you on target every time and includes both end-caps and remote-pressure switches, universal Picatinny/Weaver mount that fits most tactical firearms, a padded storage tin, and a 3V lithium battery, Imported.

All green laser products operating at 532nm are subject to varying degrees of illumination power loss in cold weather (60 degrees Fahrenheit or less) unless proper procedures are followed.

For optimal and maximum illumination in cold conditions:
1) Place 2 hand warmers around unit and secure with self adhering wrap which can be found in drug stores or camo color wraps in sporting goods stores. (The hand warmers slow down the heat loss through the aluminum housing).
2) Place a warm battery (room temperature) in the unit and turn on before going outside.
3) If the power level fluctuated, replace battery with a warm battery and continue use. (Rotate batteries as needed)."

Had this for a while... very bright but it is also huge and heavy! My biggest complaint is that it will not hold a descent zero. It will stay in the general area but it will move a little every shot. Would not recommend!

I put the laser on my AR-15 but it will not stay zeroed in. The laser has to be readjusted after every shot. I called leaper about the problem and they are giving me a hard time about replacing the laser. Do not take a chance on purchasing this item!

Mine worked fine right out of the box. I think this is one of those 'hit or miss" products though. Some people will get defective one I think, but I did not. I mounted it to servarl diffrent wepoins including my registerd class 3 SW M 76 and other SMG's my class 3 dealer pal has.He shows up as I have three outdoor ranges and teach combat use of firearms. Whe I read reviews on stcoks, lasers etc, I am mystified at people who say "it looks cool on my gun". What the hell diffrence does that make? Anything you do to modify any weapon has to contribute to its performance in the field period. This is where I am divided on the use of lasers too. For long range, more than 200 yards or so for a laser, you have to zero the laser so the point of impact occurs where you want it to at the desired distance. THis can be challenging too. This is true of optical scopes too of course. I tried using my scope to locate the laser beam. I did find that it was a help in some longer range shoots, edven out to 300 yards in dim light. But not enough to give away my position with its bright green beam. On the other hand, on smgs which are short range weapons it had some real advatages. These would apply to any semi auto carbine too. At 50 yards or less and less is important, the laser allows you to instantly aquire the target and fire. You can thus not have your eyes on the weapons sight plane.THis makes engeing mutiplke tasrgets at close rang remakably quick and accurate,especialy in low light. Full auto weapons have to be aimed properly too it ain't like in the movies where they shoot from the hip. But I can point shoot very well with any psirol, hitting in the tight kill zone out to 36 yards evry time without using the sights of the pistoil at all. The laser I feel is best used at 50 yards or less in dim light, even the brighter green one. It does provide an advanbtage once you get used to it. ALSO it is gret training aid when mounted on replkca psitols. I teach poiunt shooting this way in the firststage and the studnts very quickly learn to point shoot with live ammo and no laser and in dim light out to 30 ft or more. But most pistol fight occur at 4 ft or less though. So I am divided a bit on laser use.

Bought this for my rifle and it's a very cool gadget. By mounting it to the lower rail I was able to use my laser bore sight and adjust it till they met at 100 yards. Which is where you notice the difference between 5mw red and 5mw green the green simply blots out the red completely. The green is so much brighter you can see the beam itself at night and I'm sure it would be an incredibly effective deterrent as well.
