Dropped right in with no issues. Took longer to disassemble/reassemble the rifle than it did to add the part. Unlike some reviews above, I did not have to drill out. Operates smoothly.

I bought two of these, one for a circa 1973 10/22 and a circa 1990 10/22. The installation took five minutes because I didn't correctly line up the bolt hold-open device and had to re-align it. As everyone else mentioned, this is the way Ruger should have made it in the beginning! Absolutely the best ten bucks I ever spent!

First time I took apart my 10/22, had no idea how to do so. 1 screw, and 2 pins, and it's apart. Took 1 more pin to pull the old part out, and install this part. The pin went right through for me, no need to drill 1/8 like many other reviews. Put it all back together, and voila, it's how the 10/22 should of come from the factory. Will order more of these, for my other 10/22's! Thanks CTD!!!
