I have two M-1 rifles, and a original M1 Bayaonet, which fit fine. When I recieved this one it looked great, good construction, and well made, but would not fit on either of my rifles, due to the butt of the bayonet slot not machined correctly. I returned it and asked for another one, which I will recieve, and try that one.

I was skeptical about this bayonet because of the price, but I ordered one anyways... since I have yet to receive a bad order from CTD. I was not disappointed. The bayonet is clean and new, and fit my rifle perfectly. I recommend it !

I ordered this bayonet with that feeling of "Oh well, it's not that expensive." I just wanted it for looks on my Korean era Garand. I was really surprised, it looked good and fit the weapon well. If I had anotrher Garand I would order another one of these bayonets for it too!

Spend the money required for a genuine surplus bayonet, as this reproduction is poorly made. The channel milled to accommodate the lug was so crooked it would not fit on the rifle. An hour of work with a diamond bit on the Dremmel tool corrected this. The blade is not straight; it is curved laterally and twisted. The hilt is crudely welded on and is crooked about two axis. When mounted on the rifle, the entire assembly is askew by 5 degrees relative to the barrel. The spring-loaded latch was full of grit left over from grinding or milling operations. If you want a stabbing tool this will work but is grossly overpriced. If you want a correct bayonet to fit and function and look good on your Garand, this is not it.
