Ret AF pilot now farmer. Bought this so when the dogs start at night I can go out with my Glock 17 and Streamlight. Good thing I read the reviews before opening the package. Two days and two oz of Neetsfoot oil plus leaving my Browning BDM in it, its looking good. Probably should have soaked it in water first but I didn't read that far down. Somehow leaving a good gun in a wet leather all nite don't seem right. This is what I need for the intended purpose. I would have like'd thicker leather. Worth what I paid and good delivery.

This is a very nice holster for the money. It came already assembled and ready to go. It fit my 1911 perfectly. I would have gave it five stars but I had a scuff mark on the front that was very noticeable . I was not happy and considered sending it back but I needed to use it this weekend. Also sending it back is a big hassle and I won't see a new one for several weeks. I would recomend this to someone that is on the fence about buying it. It fit me great. The leather needs some work with mink oil or saddle soap, then its perfect.

It comes out the package looking rather pathetic. The leather is dry,hard, and pale. After applying 2 oz, yes 2 oz, of baseball glove conditioner over every surface front and back I am very happy with it. The leather is now soft, supple, and has turned a beautiful tan leather color. My full size 1911 fits perfect. Tight but not too tight. Design is good and it fits my body well with plenty of room for adjustment. I find the chest is a very comfortable place to carry a large gun. Sitting, standing, reaching and bending over is not a problem with this holster.

I liked the concept and was excited to have a knock off reproduction of the WWII holsters but I could not make it fit my 1911 with a light rail. It seems to be well designed and fits right where I wanted it to, however this holster will not fit any gun or 1911 with any sort of light rail or extra attachment to the barrell.

I have to be honest, at first when I took the holster out of the bag, I had an immediate sinking feeling of disappointment. The pictures made it seem the leather would have a nice stain to it and to my disappointment it was still in an untreated rawhide state. Rather ugly and very stiff. After a few coats of minwax wood stain in the gunstock color and some forming/oiling this bad boy looks and feels great! After drying its got a very nice rich traditional color. I spent some time oiling and massaging/working the leather and let me tell you its as plush as can be while still keeping good shape. I could not be happier.
