Just Water, monolithic ceramic drip filter works as well as the high end British ones only at a fraction of the cost!

This half-micron filter removes water-borne bacterium with a 0.5 micron efficiency which exceeds NSF standards. The ceramic filter can be cleaned with a soft brush at least 100 times, and it produces 14 gallons of drinking water per day. This system includes a ceramic filter, filter sock, and spigot.

Simply double stack two clean five gallon buckets with lids, drill a 1/2" hole in the bottom of the top bucket and through the top of the bottom buckets lid, place sock over filter and install it in the bottom of the top bucket. Drill a 3/4" hole on the side and near the bottom of the bottom bucket and install the spigot. Fill the top bucket with water from a lake, rain, tap, river or stream and in an hour you will have bacteria free water to drink in the bottom bucket.

This filter is an excellent buy (I have 2). Works as advertised and filters water (once the filter itself becomes saturated with water) faster than I had thought. I would very much like to buy at-least 2 more, but for whatever reason CTD is no longer shipping water filters to my state?!? Anyone else have this problem?

Great item, received quickly and had the entire thing assembled in about 5 minutes. Don't forget you have to buy your own 5 gallon bucket(s) and lid(s). I purchased two for about $6, not bad at all. For a cheaper version of very expensive products that is still able to filter out most nasty stuff, it's worth buying a couple. No instructions included, but watch the youtube vid and you'll be up to speed in no time.

Bought 2 of these after seeing an article in Backwoods Home magazine. Installed in buckets as soon as it arrived and started making filtered water right away. We use it instead of the filtered water on the refrigerator and will eventually have use for it out in the country. System installed easily, although as others have noted, except there was only 1 washer with the spigot (used the washer from the second kit to finish the job). Small issue, but enough to drop the rating to 4 instead of 5 if only for the inconvenience. Will be buying at least 2 more to stock up for the future.

Ordered this mid afternoon on a Tuesday, it was on my porch when I came home from work on Thursday. Very impressed with the short shipping time. Product arrived without damage. It was very carefully packed. Product appears to be easy to put together. Totally self explanatory. I have not used it as I have purchased it to be packed away for a future emergency. As inexpensive as it is, I could not pass on it as "Cheap Insurance".
