Replace your stock metal trigger guard with the enhanced MOE polymer trigger guard from Magpul. The MOE trigger guard features a shallow "V" shape to allow for the use of gloves in colder weather. It also fills in the annoying gap left at the rear by most standard trigger guards. Works in all standard 5.56 or .223 AR-15 pattern rifles as well as most 7.62x51/.308 AR platforms with some fitting required. Non-Folding. All mounting hardware is included. Made in the USA.

Agree with other reviews in that the hex head screw supplied will round out VERY easy. CTD FAST with shipping.

Very simple to install and leaves plenty of room for using gloves while shooting. also solves the problem of that lil annoying gap at the rear of the trigger guard that scrapes your finger all the time. Seems more sturdy than the factory trigger guard too. A nice little extra for your AR-15. i definitely recommend it.

This is a nice TG from MagPul. The polymer is so light, but strong. I installed it in under 5 minutes. Be careful when doing so as not to strip the threading as others mentioned.

Don't get me wrong I think the functionality is much better, but I like how the stock trigger guard swings down, this guard eliminates the front detent pin and repalces it with a 1/16" hex headed screw, the rear attachment is still a roll pin. When I went to install the guard I started the screw and after about 1.5 rotations my 1/16" hex head rounded out the screw on the inside, leaving a 1/16" circle. Ya see the hole for the screw in the guard is not threaded and the weakest link proved to be the screw (the cutout for the hex was off center and I think it flexed enough to allow it to round out). Not to be discouraged I drilled out the front hole of the guard to accept the spring and detent pin, took off 3/4 of spiral from the sping and VIOLA - now I have an oversized trigger guard that swings down also.

This simple plastic piece is a real nice upgrade. First off, it's the thick beefy polymer that won't break. Second, it gives better clearance for those of us who shoot while wearing gloves. (I'll bet that's most of us at this time of year!) Finally, I think it looks cool. Install was easy. I should also mention that for once, the included instructions were clear and easy to follow even for someone new to the AR rifle. I don't have a lot of experience with MagPul so I don't know if all their stuff includes such good directions. Again, great part at a really great price!
