Worked great on my Bushmaster M4 and comfortable. Fit the castle nut great. Would recommend but be careful tightening and loosening cause it can come of the track and hit the threads on the buffer tube. Overall good tool.

Before you order this, to change a sling ring, take it to a gunsmith to loosen the castle nut for you. DIYS, then after that, just change the sling ring and all is GOOD. A little scratch on the castle nut; just use a marker to cover it. The wrench fits my Lewis Machine and Tool AR.

I was hesitant to buy this, due to the reviews being all over the place, but I figured for this price, I'd try it. I'm glad I did because it worked. I did, however, Dremel down the teeth on the wrench a little, just to be on the safe side since so many reviews said the teeth damaged the buffer tube threads. I also put little pieces of electrical tape on the two inside curves of the wrench to prevent excessive scratching of the castle nut. Still ended up with a few small, minor scratches, but no big deal. No damage to the threads though. I have a S&W M&P15 Sport and this wrench worked fine. I just made sure to take my time and be careful. Wrench gets 4 instead of 5 bullets because it's not long enough to give good leverage when tightening and loosening the castle nut. I just used a rubber mallet to tap on the wrench handle to get it going.

I bought this wrench, despite a couple bad reviews and I'm glad I did. I've used it to remove the stock and the flash suppressor on my Bushmaster M4A3. It worked great on both. It's well made and fits like a glove. It removed the castle nut easily and didn't leave any marks. I used it to remove the flash suppressor to install a quad rail gas block and it worked equally well. The rubber handle is a nice feature too. Way to go Tapco and CTD!

This is a good tool. The rubberized grip is nice. The only problem I had was that the flash suppressor removal part of the tool doesn't give you much leverage being right in the middle.
