This ammunition comes from the Tula Cartridge works in Russia. This is high-quality ammunition. It is steel cased, Berdan-primed, Bimetal jacket (copper over steel) full metal jacket, non corrosive and non-reloadable. Muzzle velocity is 2800 fps. This ammo has polymer coated steel cases. This is cheap ammo. I put it through my Springfield M1A Scout, two Remington 40-Xs, and a Remington R-25. All of them hit the steel at 350 yards. This ammo goes bang every time. It's not match grade, but is super cheap. Enjoy it for what it is. Make sure to clean your gun after shooting this ammo, as it sure is dirty.

Any of this ammo Cheaper Than Dirt sells will do the trick. If you have a clean and decent gun it will cycle, go bang, hit a six inch target at least 50 yards away, and eject. If you have a dinged up cartridge, do not put it through your rifle. My FN Scar 17s will chew through the cheapest or most expensive ammo around with ease. I don't think the receiving end of any ammo will care which round you have in the barrel.

I got a CETME for Christmas so I thought I'd buy some cheap ammo to try it out for some target shooting enjoyment.(400 rds.) First of all I have to agree with other users of this ammo... it's DIRTY for sure!!! Might come close to what I'm used to seeing when using a muzzle loader. But for the price I can live with that. It still cycles through the CETME fine with the frequent FTF's though. Grrrrr!

I've shot 400 rounds of this stuff with no FTE's in my PTR-91. I do have about 1-2% FTEs with military brass ammo and also Federal brass ammo (both due to bent cases). I can't effectively reload PTR fired brass anyway, so steel cased ammo is the logical choice. I'm used to a bit of extra cleaning with TUL-AMMO but who cares about 5- 10 more patches after a shooting session? I have not systematically analyzed accuracy thus only 4 bullets. I would also like to check the actual velocity through a chronograph, but that's for the future. In the final analysis I'm stoked that the best feeding ammo for my PTR is also some of the least expensive.
