I love, love, love this ammo. Bought to test in my wife's Walther PK380. The gun loved it but she didn't. Also shot through my Kel-Tec P3AT with no problems. I love the heavier bullet weight in a .380 ACP.

The Golden Saber 380JHP is by far the most accurate ammo I have cycled through my Beretta 84FS Cheetah. I achieved -3" groups at 25 yards far surpasing any other ammo I have used. It is on the spendy side but would trust my life with this round.

I put 12 rounds through my Ruger LCP and 12 through my Kahr P380 today. It's a great little round ... the LCP stung a bit after a few Golden Sabers ... it's not my typical range ammo, I was testing to make sure the round fed through both weapons. No problems and accurate.

UPDATE: Bought my wife a Sig P238 for Valentine's Day and was searching for the right ammo to use for concealed carry. Her 238 had "0" problems feeding this 102 gr quality ammo. CTD's price is way better than anyone else. I am carrying the same in my SW380 Bodyguard too. Between the two of us we've put over 100 rounds of this stuff through our 380s with NO failures. Just buy it already.

When I carry my Ruger LCP as primary, I want it to be able to make the biggest hole possible. The 102 grain round is the biggest .380 ACP round there is. Consistent reliable performance from this round from both my LCP and prevous .380, a Kel-Tec P3AT.

I bought this SD ammo because it seemed that the heavier, more rounded HP bullet would feed better in my Taurus TP-738. And I am not disappointed. In this tiny gun, tight tolerances caused feed problems from even the most expensive 90-95 gr. ammo. And with only six shots in a magazine you can't afford one jam in a "jam". I fired three 1/2 magazines - 21 rounds - before having one jam. By then, the gun was dirty, so a slap-rack was all it took to seat the next round. In a clean, ultra-compact gun, this stuff is the answer. My other .380, a Walther PK738, ate a whole box of these without a hiccup. CTD service was outstanding, as always.

I have carried Golden Saber as a .40 cal duty round for years. I decided to try it in my SW Bodyguard 380 and if fed/fired with zero problems. Accuracy was good (from 380 ranges) and I trust the 102gr bullet will perform as well as any 380 self-protection round. CTD price is way lower than anywhere else online or in store plus they always ship faster than most suppliers.

I'm a long time customer of CTD. Golden Saber is excellent self defense ammo. The ammo in my latest order appeared to be old or in storage too long. The bullets and some cartridge cases were discolored and the lead in hollow point appeared to be oxidized. I contacted customer service and was told to call Remington. I was not happy this time.

I got these for my Bersa Thunder Thunder 380. With one seven round and two nine round mags, I have the entire box loaded up and at the ready. My personal choice for home defense. If you have to use a 380, go hollow point and go heavy.

Two of the biggest problems with most .380s are the feeding of JHPs, and penetration ability. Most direct blowback .380s have feed ramps which catch the edge of the hollow point cavity during feeding. Most pistols will simply shear off part of the bullet and keep on feeding. However, when the gun is dirty, you limp wrist, or your recoil spring is weak it can jam on you. These are common things that occur under stress. This 102gr load has enough of a rounded nose that it will feed as well as if you were using FMJRN in almost all pistol designs. Then of course, the 102gr bullet has more mass and sectional density to penetrate more deeply into substances. Top it off with a larger crimp area for bullet seating than 85-95gr bullets, and you have the ideal self defense cartridge for the .380acp.

Shot a couple of boxes of these in a Browning BDA .380 Auto to break it in. Ammo worked well no problems no failures of any kind , Cant really speak to accuracy as it was new gun that I wasnt familiar with and I hadnt shot a .380 before but it seemed ok On the paper at 25yds .

I consider these the premier self defense ammunition in the .380 class. They are slightly heavier than most .380 rounds (at 102 grain vs 90-95 gr) and provide more energy than almost any other factory brand. The penetration is very good, with excellent controlled mushrooming from the brass jacket. I was convinced on Golden Saber after personal testing into gelatin blocks & meat slabs using a Sig Sauer P232. The extracted bullets held together very well, provided consistent expansion (nice star pattern from the brass jacket), and penetrated deeply. Have never experienced a failure with this brand... plenty of power to cycle blowback .380 handguns reliably.

I tested these in water jugs today vs. 90gr Federal Hydrashocks and traditional WWB 95gr FMJ. They didn't penetrate as deeply as the others, but the expansion was much better (.575/.475/none). The Golden Saber touched the 3rd jug but didn't penetrate, the Hydrashock was mid 3rd, and the FMJ was 5+. I'll likely carry a mixed mag of Golden Sabers and regular FMJ.

I have carried these rounds in my Kel Tec P-3AT for the past year or so. I shoot about 20-30 every time I go to the range just to ensure that they're reliable in my gun, and nothing has worked better. These cycle perfectly every time and I know they have the stopping power and reliability I'll need if I ever have to use them.
