4.0 Rating Good ammo for some guns - 5/8/2010
Reviewer: batiz
I throw these things out of a Ruger Mini-14T, and can cover the group with a quater at 100 yards. I have a friend who has an orignal Colt AR-15/M16, and these did not cycle through his in full auto. But the cheap Wolf and the like did fine with it. My step-son, who carries an old AR, says the same thing. He also says my Mini is more accurate than his service weapon. Go figure, I hope this might help out some of you AR guys out there.

4.0 Rating FYI - 3/20/2010
Reviewer: KENBO
One of first review stated that xm193 must not meet nato specs because it lacked a nato head stamp, the ss109/m855 was the round that NATO decided to adopt as the standard by multiple nations using ARs,and other various weapons built around this cartridge, but the British had to download the ss109 for reliable function in their SA80 bull pup weapon. The NATO headstamp is just a proof mark that proves it was manufactured at a Nato facility, here's where where the glitch starts, the U.S has it`s own Mil Specs for the m193 and the m855, but the ss109 manufactured by the British may be underloaded enough so as not to cycle in the AR, and there was some of this surplus ammo floating around a few years ago. For everything you ever wanted to know about Ammo for the ARs, go to THE AMMO ORACLE, very informative. I gave the L.C.a 4 rating because there is a lot of surplus ammo out there good performance and nice and shiny

4.0 Rating Works Well - 3/13/2012
Reviewer: weee96
I purchased 200 rounds and have shot half. Had no issues with my Bushmaster AR. The brass appears a bit tarnished from the annealing process, with brown/black spots on most of them, but I had no issues from this so far. It's quite accurate from my experience. I will be buying more.

3.0 Rating Jon Test - 10/4/2011
Reviewer: Jon Test
I purchased a bunch of this back in mid march. I was at the range a few weeks ago putting rounds through my AR and had probably 5-6 failure to fires with this stuff out of 100 rounds. I looked over the rounds and only one of them seemed to have what I would classify as a "light primer strike," So I am fairly sure this was an ammo malfunction and not my firearm. I got input from two other shooters who were present; one told me maybe my gun was gunked up because of the black tar residue on the rounds (it was in fact on the ammo when i bought it, as the gentleman below me stated as well) and the other guy looked over my firearm with me and said that everything seemed to be working right to him (examined the firing pin, bcg, hammer spring strength, etc) and then gave me a stripper clip of the ammo he was running at which the gun ran fine and told me he believed it was the ammo. With all that aside the ammo had no other issues and was accurate and priced right. Maybe I just got a bad batch or something. If I end up finding an issue with my gun I will make another review and rate the ammo 5 stars.
